I walked over to where my mom was and had my arms crossed. "Mom, can you explain, what's going on with you?" I say calmly not letting any anger out.

"What do you mean?" Fixing her dress and her hair. "I'm not dumb, I know you're seeing someone." Like why she can't tell me?

"How do you know?" She question. "Don't worry about who told me. But why couldn't you tell me!" She sighs and I nodded.

"I'm going to bed." Walking to my room.
I expected her to follow me but she didn't.

Guess that goes for two things at once. "Fuck this life," Closing my eyes.

I was out for a run around the neighborhood. Walking back into my house.

"Cassie, can I please talk to you?"

"I guess," She took my head and we took a walk to the beach.

"Yes, I'm seeing a guy. We've been going out almost every day. And I'm sorry for not telling you." Our feet were getting wet from the small waves.

"I know when I promised you that I'll tell you about someone if I'm dating them. After me and your dad broke apart." I sigh, sucks that I don't have a relationship with him anymore.

"You're going to meet him tomorrow. Oh and your dad is coming in two days." What the hell?

It's right after I met the guy my mom is going out with. But mostly I'm not ready to see him after 5 years.

I don't even know what to say or how to act! But I know how to act around that bitch.

"Erh, umm, okay?" I struggle to say. We both went inside and I called Nathan to see if he can come over.

"I can't I'm at work, you know how my boss is babe." I sigh but got butterfly in my stomach.

"Look, I'll meet you there?" Hanging up and leaving the house.

Turning off the engine and I walked over to the small restaurant. I see Jeremiah working and I thanked he didn't come to me.

"Boss, I'll be back!" He says while he took off his little cover. Running to him and he lifts me.

He puts me down, kissing me on the lips. "Can we talk?" He nods, intertwined our hands, and exited the swimming pool.

We stopped where there was a big tree covering us. "I can't do this." He grabs my face and tries to find something.

"About us?" God, I should've made it clear. But I could hear the sadness though.

"No, my dad is coming in two days." Tears coming out, he hugs me tightly. "I don't know how to face him. I haven't seen him in 5 years, Nathan." He pulls away so he can see me.

Whipping my tears away, and my hair away from my face. Cupping my cheek. "Hey, your strong, hell you're stronger than me. You'll get through this. I'll be with you." Leaning in and I sigh.

"You will?" I whispered closing my eyes. "Yes, I'll be with you on every step you'll need." Smiling and I claimed down a bit.

I hear his phone ring and it's his boss. We walked back and I stayed, sitting down where I first met him.

There weren't really that many people ordering. When he wasn't really that busy, we talked.

He finished his shift and we walked together, his around my shoulder. "Cassie?" Jeremiah says. "What are you doing here?" Hugging but getting me wet.

"I came to talk about some things." Nathan nodded and Jeremiah messed up my hair. "Hey!" Fixing my hair.

Noticed that he was closed to the edge of the pool. And I eyed Nathan and he got what I was doing.
