Dia
Looking in the mirror, it was not supposed to be like this.
I look over to my right fist, to only see it covered in blood. Looking through the reflection of the mirror in front of me to see the person I beat up. They have a bloody nose and a few fractured ribs. They are currently unconscious. I have to live with my decision now. I open the cold-water tap. I put my right hand under the tap and look up to at my reflection. My brown eyes staring back at me, but my younger self would not recognize who I have become now, she might even be a little disappointed. She would never recognize the brown highlights in my hair, the blood seeping out of my nose from a hit to my face. The flames in my eyes and all the people I have hurt in my soul.
My phone buzzes with a notification:
Ace: Is it done yet?
I close the tap, dry my hand with a paper towel before answering my half-brother.
Me: yes
I text back while looking at the body in the reflection
Ace: good, get out of there. Do you have your motorbike with you?
Me: Yes
I unlock the door and walk out of the bathroom, leaving the body there for some poor unfortunate soul to find.
