"So this is where my brother keeps sneaking off to."

Josephine's eyes snapped open and looked over at the intimidating Alpha standing a few feet away. She hadn't even heard the werewolf approach her and something about the way Willa was staring at her did not make her think that was a good thing.

"Poodle, I-" Josephine's head swiveled to watch Wyatt walk in on the interaction and his face go from happiness to oh shit in less than a second. "Willa."

"What are you doing, Wyatt?" Willa snapped before sneering at the human. "Or is it who?"

"Did she just insinuate that we're fucking?" Josephine asked incredulously, looking over at a blushing Wyatt. "Oh my god, she did. Why does everyone assume I fuck every guy I'm friends with?!"

"Look Willa, it's not what it looks like-"

"Shut up, Wyatt."

Immediately Wyatt's eyes flashed yellow and he took a step back, even though his teeth were gritted in frustration. His Alpha always came first.

Willa stalked over to the human and even though she was a few inches shorter that Josephine, the human took a step back and felt nervous. The wolves eyes flashed with her moonstone as she bared her teeth at Josephine and the girl swallowed thickly.

"Listen, we don't have time for our leaders to be seduced or distracted. Our pack is dying and we don't have time for humans like you."

"Willa, hold on. That's not fair-"

"Go back to the den, Wyatt."

"I said, go!" Willa snapped. "That's an order."

Obediently, Wyatt turned on his heel and left for the den leaving the Alpha and human alone.

"Leave Wyatt alone, meat bag. He's not a dog for you entertainment."

Josephine blinked in shock at the interaction and could only watch frozen as the Alpha turned around - her beautiful hair hitting the human in the face - and stalked off into a run. The human was left alone feeling quite a few different emotions about the interaction.

Without anyone to distract her, the human had no choice but go to the party at Adrian's house. She stood outside of the powder blue house clenching her hands. The music was already loud and she could hear screams of laughter from all over the house.

She didn't want to be there.

With a sigh of frustration, Josephine turned and walked down the sidewalk to just go home. Maybe she could lift for a while and get some proper sleep in a bed tonight.

"Jett, hey!"

Maybe not.

Josephine turned around to see a grinning Adrian waving at her from the porch, the door opened and music pouring out for the street to hear. "You comin'?"

"Do I have to?"

The boy rolled his eyes and took the few long strides over to the girl and pulled her in by the wrist. "Come on! That win last night deserves to be celebrated!"

"Shrimpette's here!" The boy announced loudly and the house let out a loud cheers, some throwing their cups up in greeting. Josephine waved nervously at the eyes on her. "Five touch downs before half time plus three more in the third quarter... that's 8 victory shots!"

"Whoa whoa whoa, I don't drink, Keys." Josephine tried to potent as she was pushed over to the kitchen where a few of the boys from the offensive line were pouring vodka into eight shot glasses. "Seriously, I don't do that shit."
