A long stroll through the woods later, Josephine and Wyatt somehow ended up in the part close to her home. She looked over at the wolf in surprise and he shrugged his shoulders.

"The map of the Forrest is in my blood."

The cool thing about being on a sports team was that Josephine got to miss class, which also happened to be the worst part of being on a sports team. Thankfully, Wyatt agreed to grab any work and get it to her house for her.

Santee Cooper was Seabrook's rival school so it was highly customary for the school to make a big deal about their leaving. The football team ran onto the bus excitedly, high fiving the students lining their way to the big yellow vehicle, and screaming along to fill the air with testosterone.

Behind them, the cheerleaders waved their Pom poms and chanted their cheers while the band gave them all a grand exit.

There were small footballs with the Seabrook logo on them thrown to the crowd and Josephine's eyes caught one being thrown at her. Dramatically, she jumped into the air and caught it, grinning at the loud cheers as she showed it off in the air.

On the bus, Josephine sat next to Zack who demanded the window seat so he could wave at his girlfriend in goodbye. She gave no fight until she watched Preston slide into the row next to her followed by a grinning Adrian.

"Oh, hell no." Josephine groaned her head hitting the back of the seat in front of her. "I wanted to sleep, not listen to you two make out all trip."

"You could always sit next to Zeddy up there and make it a group assignment." Adrian waggled his eyebrows as he stood up to slap the zombie in front of him on the chest in good nature. "I'm sure he-"

"Adrian." Preston hissed, grabbing the wide by the ear and pulling him onto his seat. "You've gone too far."

Both Josephine and Zed were staring forwards with blushes on their face at the insinuation and tried to ignore the ginger kid looking back and forth between the two with narrowed eyes.

In the most quiet voice Adrian had ever mustered he whispered into Preston's ear for only him to hear. "Why haven't they gotten together?"

Zed's eye twitched, annoyed by his sensitive hearing.

"Because he's with Addison and Josephine's with the werewolf." Preston reminded him softly. "It's the perfect pairings."

"Actually, Josephine and Wyatt are not dating." Zion informed loudly from next to Zed, turning around to face the couple. A smirk grew on his face as the defensive tackle elbowed Zed on the side. "But I can tell you first hand that Zeddy here is definitely with the hot cheer captain."

Loud cheers and wolf whistles sounded through the bus and they started going. The juniors and seniors were cackling at their fullback's expense.

"I didn't know zombies could blush."

"How does that even work with your lack of blood flow..."

"Hey, Zed. Does little Zed get hard even though your heart doesn't pump blood?"

Josephine even though she could feel the waves of mortification rolling off the zombie in bulk quantity. Snickering, she covered her mouth but looked down at the small football that had been in her hands. Even though the zombie wasnt talking to her, she threw it into his lap.

Zed grabbed it with a frown, turning to the human girl who mimed a throw and then pointed at the senior running back who turned the tease sexual up front. Understanding, the zombie sent a grateful nod before throwing the ball at the back of Hector's head.
