Everyone made it out safely without any injury that wasn't already preexisting. The presence of the moonstone fueled not just the wolves, but humans and zombies somehow making the party even more hype than before.
Josephine wondered if this would be in history books one day.
The stone was the centerpiece of the dance and eventually was taken to the park, where the after party raged for all who wanted to celebrate the good news. Josephine happily attended watching from a bench with her leg propped up on a trash can.
Once again, the zombies showed off their dance moves and leading them was none other than Zed. Once again the teen had brought everyone together and Josephine couldn't help but find her attachment to him grow stronger.
Nearly dying does that to a person.
Addison may not have been a werewolf by race, but the pack recognized her as the Great Alpha anyways because without her they never would have gotten the moonstone. She was a natural leader.
Her and Zed were perfect for each other.
"Oh, poodle!" Wyatt sang from behind the girl, putting his hands on the human's shoulders and looking over her head mischeviously. Josephine tilted her head up and looked at the werewolf suspiciously. "Guess what."
"....Do I have to?"
"Do I have to." Wyatt mocked rolling his eyes before shaking the girl by the shoulders. "Yes!"
"Then what?"
"Hi." The werewolf smiled cheekily, giving the girl a smack on the shoulder before throwing himself over the bench and sitting down next to Josephine. He spread out wide, throwing his arms over the back of the bench and spreading his legs out wide.
"...Did you seriously come over to just say hi?" Josephine asked incredulously, before shoving the wolf over slightly. "And quit man spreading, I would like space to exist too."
Wyatt chuckled, but scooted over a little bit to give Josephine some space. "How are you doing?"
"How am I doing? I'm doing amazing." Josephine said honestly, a smile on her face as she looked over the crowd. "I'm just happy that you're okay and so is your pack."
"Awe, was poodle worried?" Wyatt cooed, pulling the brunette into a headlock and musing up her hair playfully. Josephine let out some threats and tried to wack the wolf wherever she could, but he did not let up. "I ruff you too."
Josephine finally freed herself with a huff and went to fixing her hair the best she could. At this point, her outfit was ruined so her hair honestly shouldn't have been a big deal.
"Who else would I bully without you, dog brain." She smirked over at Wyatt, throwing her hair up into a ponytail. "I need someone to take out my stress on."
"I know a certain green haired zombie who you could take out your stress on." Adrian said, popping over Josephine's shoulder. The brunette's eyes widened and shock, and out of fear she immediately punched the teen in the face. "Ow, what the fuck?!"
"You scared me!"
"I was just saying hi!"
"Lots of words came out of your mouth for just saying hi."
"You're so mean, Jackson." Adrian pretended to sob into his elbow, throwing a hand in the air dramatically. "After all I've done for you..."
Josephine snorted at the act. "Yeah, because of you my hair's gonna look like Addison's before I'm 20."
Wiping away his imaginary tears, Adrian sniffed and looked back at Josephine. His face went a little serious and that concerned Josephine a lot. The ginger sighed and leaned down, giving the girl a hug. "Glad you're okay, Jackson. Next time, please don't jump in a mysteriously glowing cavern with your tibia broken." He paused. "At least, not without me."
