Chapter 35

2 weeks later

I was downstairs in the kitchen having some breakfast checking my phone. Today for the first time I put on makeup. It's been a month and I'm on a streak, I haven't cried fours days in a row. I was checking Instagram when the doors to the kitchen opened.

"Tobias?!" I said when I noticed him walk in the kitchen.

"Adria" he said in a sarcastic tone.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him excited to see another familiar face around here.

"Had to come visit my baby mama" he said and walked closer to the kitchen island.

"Did you come alone?" I asked him and I knew he knew exactly what I was asking.

"Yes" he said and I felt a little pain in my chest.

"I'm sorry Adria" he then said and I looked up from my bowl at him.

"It's okay" I said and gave him a gentle smile.

Polina then bathed inside screaming crying running to Tobias. Tobias' face grew with the biggest smile as he caught her and hugged her. They were so happy together, so in love and that made me happy.

I got up and left the kitchen to give them some time alone. I walked up to my bedroom and decided to take a shower. I got in the hot water and let the water wash away all my pain. I washed my hair and even shaved.

I got out of the shower and decided to put on a face mask. I started looking for it in the drawers and I looked in the cabinet under the sink where I found my box of tampons. And then the realisation hit me for a moment.

I grabbed my phone to checked when my period should start. I'm 2 weeks late. I started to panic and I felt cold sweat run down my forehead and my neck. This can't be happening.

I put on some comfy clothes and ran out to the grocery store security of course following close behind me as always. I bought many test, cheap ones, expensive ones, digital ones.

I drove back home and went up to the bathroom immediately. I peed in a cup and took 3 tests at once. Now it was time to wait.

I walked out in the bedroom so I wouldn't need to look at them. I was sitting at the end of the bed and stressing out when I heard a knock on my door.

"Hey, are you busy, there's someone here to see you" Hannah peaked inside the room.

"Who is it?" I asked her my heart racing from everything going on.

"Your sister and Jolie" she said and I immediately got up and walked to meet them.

I walked down the steps and both of them were standing at the entrance of the house and I rushed over to hug them.

"I missed you so much" I said to both of them as they looked around the place.

"You live here?" My sister asked me shocked.

"Yeah" I said and led them into the living room.

We spent the day together talking, we laughed a lot and I was so glad they came over. It definitely was something I needed. They left right before dark and I was sad to let them go.
