Chapter 49

We had landed in the airport and a driver came to pick us up. I was already missing the warmth of Hawaii and the bright sun but I did miss this place too. We drove to the mansion and I watched as a little kid when we pulled up. I was wearing white pants with a crop top and a jacket over it. Paired it with some silver heels. Not the best for travelling, but I had to let everyone in the house know that the boss is back.

We got out of the car and Lucian took my hand as we walked inside the mansion and inside the kitchen where everyone was already having breakfast. Some of them noticing us jumped up and came to greet us.

"I've missed you so much" Polina said pulling me in a tight hug

"I missed you too" I said and pulled away from the hug.

"Show me the ring!" She said and waited for me to show the ring so I did.

"Wow" she said "WOW" she repeated again. Hannah also rushed in to see and I was so happy to see everyone. They'd become my family too, they were closer to me than the actual family that I had.

We caught up with everyone and as I was talking to the girl me and Lucian shared a few eye contacts between each other and I couldn't wait when I was going to touch him again.

"We're also going to meet my parents today" I said while the girls listened me tell about our vacation.

"We thought it'd be nice for them to meet him before the wedding" I said and didn't know how the meeting was going to go, good or bad.

"Are you nervous?" Hannah asked me.

"Yeah" I said.

"You'll be okay, and no matter what, we are your family too now" she said reminding me and that did make me feel at ease.

"Thank you Hannah" I said and brushed her arm and then felt large hands wrap around from behind me and kiss my temple.

"Mind if I steal her for a moment?"  Lucian asked and the girls completely melted at the sweet gesture.

"Sure, she's all yours" Polina said and with that both of them left.

"I think we should leave if you want to make it in time to your parents" he said and looked at his wrist watch.

"Okay, let me just go grab my purse" I said and walked over to the little stand where my purse was standing and with that we got into Lucian's car and drove to my childhood home.

I was so nervous, and yet Lucian seemed like he wasn't nervous at all. We got out of the car and rang the doorbell and a second later my mom opened the door and greeted her and I could see the school on her face when she noticed Lucian. I'm sure she was thinking I'd bring home some druggie or something.

"Come on in" she said and we did.

My sister and Jolie ran to greet me and then greeted Lucian.

"He's hot" Jolie whispered to me while Lucian was talking in the corner of the room with my dad.

"I know" I said and smiled while storing my wine glass in my hands.

"Where did you find him?" My sister then asked.

"We switched phones on accident" I said remembering the thought.

It's crazy how it all started. I was his captive at first, scared of him, thought he'd kill me. And now look at us, happy, getting married soon, and me being the boss of a mafia. Who would of thought your life could turn so much in just a year and a half.

My phone rang and I looked at it. "Excuse me girls I have to take this" I put down my glass of wine and walked into the corridor of the house and picked up.
