Meeting Mom

Regina turned her head to Reena abruptly at her question regarding her mother's opinion on Rocky. She remembered her conversation with her mother, actually conversations in the last few days urging her to let go of the past and asking her to accept Rocky. It seems she is mighty impressed with him and seems to know everything happening here. She needs to find out who the traitor is who is giving her all the unnecessary updates. It was her mistake actually that put the final nail in the coffin, her mother has this crazy way of getting the truth out of her and made her confess that she indeed like Rocky. From then onwards, she is urging her to accept Rocky, always squealing like a fan girl whenever she sees Rocky pass by while she is video chatting with Regina. And it didn't help that Rocky is an absolute charmer when he wants to be and managed to get in the good books of her mother with just one conversation. Her mid went back to the incident a few days back.

Flashback :

Regina is speaking with her mother and she is as usual on her rant about how she is wasting away her life and blah blah blah, but came out of her daze hearing her mom squeal like a fan girl calling for Rocky.

Regina hissed : Mom. what's wrong with you? Please shut up.

Looking around to see if any one is there to see her embarrassment, she heaved a sigh of relief only to get her breath stuck in her throat looking at Rocky standing at the door arms crossed with his head tilted and looking straight at her.

Rocky : Did you call me chinna? And why are you squealing my name?

Regina with wide eyes immediately closed down her laptop screen : No, I haven't called. May be someone from outside did. Go and check it out.

She tried shooing him away.

Rocky nodded confusingly and started to leave but just her luck, her mother started calling for him again and this time his gaze went to the laptop after searching the whole room for, from where the noise is coming from. He came a little closer and gestured for it to which she immediately nodded her head in negative.

Rocky : Are you alright, chinna? Why are you shaking your head so obnoxiously?

Regina infuriated : Did you just call me obnoxious? you...

Rocky : Sorry.. sorry.. sorry.. What can I do? You are behaving very weird. So I got concerned.

Suddenly they heard an "Awwww" sound which made Regina close her eyes in frustration where as Rocky again searched the room before looking directly at the laptop and went to open it only to be stopped by Regina.

Regina in a hurry : Don't touch it.

Rocky : Arey Chinna. Let me look. I should also know who is calling me right?

Regina's mom : Regina Talavar, (Regina winced a little at her way of addressing) if you do not let me speak with Rocky right now, I'm going to come down there by tomorrow night and you do not want to know what I'll do.

Regina with wide eyes quickly opened the laptop and turned it towards Rocky.

Rocky came a bit closer to look at the screen over Regina's shoulder so that his front is plastered to Regina's back in the chair with his face resting on her shoulder lightly. Rocky is taken aback to see a beautiful middle aged woman who resembles Regina a lot who greeting him enthusiastically. He is a bit awkward at first knowing the circumstances of their marriage, but got comfortable soon when she started speaking to him normally. They even forgot Regina who is seen pouting looking at the exchange.

Rocky : Why don't you come down here sometime Aunty?

Regina's mom : Well we are planning to actually. But Regina's dad has some important business matters to look into. So, we are getting delayed a bit. I cannot leave him and come right?

(With a mischievous smile) Ha I can definitely leave him and come there in case of one thing.

Rocky rather confidently : What is it? You just need to command it, I promise it'll be done.

Regina's mom : Well, if I can get a grand child, I have to come there to take care of them. And I know for a fact, even your father-in-law would leave all the business deals to come visit him/her.

Rocky's and Regina's eyes widened at what her mother said.

Regina with a red face shouted: Mom.. stop speaking nonsense.

Regina's mom innocently : Arey.. What's nonsense in this? You are married and now the next natural step is childr..

Her sentence remained unfinished as Regina forcefully shutdown the laptop. She is looking everywhere but at Rocky and moved from the chair to make a quick escape. But before she could leave the room, Rocky pulled her by the waist and pinned her to the wall.

Rocky mischievously : What say darling? Shall we get to work?

Regina stammers : What work?

Rocky : The work which my mother-in-law gave us. My mother-in-law seems very sweet and I can't wait to meet her. And for that to happen, we need to start working on getting you pregnant as soon as possible.

He started nuzzling her neck.

Regina with wide eyes yells: Are you out of your mind? If you are that impatient to meet her, book a flight ticket or use one of your choppers you are so fond of and go to Italy.

Rocky : No, I do not want to go. I want her to come here only.

Stating he started kissing her neck and touching her waist.

Regina tried protesting but it came out strangled : Roc...ky

Rocky : hmm....

They both are in their own world , but are startled by the sound of footsteps of someone approaching. They quickly move away adjusting their rumpled clothes a little, Rocky a bit reluctantly, cursing whoever interrupted them under his breath to see an Rguard informing him of Guru pandian's arrival and went out. Regina immediately left from there still looking flustered and out of breath. Rocky cursed Guru pandian and his timing. Does he need to come now only? She was just about to surrender herself to him and he knew it. He cursed his luck and went to see what that old bugger wants to discuss now and it better be damn important.

Flashback ends..

Seeing her averting her eyes, Reena understood what her mother's opinion might be. She told her what she wanted to and the rest is her decision. She squeezed Regina's hands one last time and left there.
