Reena's Departure

Previously :

She can't keep punishing Rocky by giving him hope one moment only to snatch it away at last as soon as he come a little closer to her. She needs to stop giving him mixed signals. She made up her mind to correct this situation.

Present :

As determined, Regina completely detached herself from Rocky. Only approaching him when required, to discuss anything related to KGF, otherwise they both kept to themselves. To avoid him further, she kept herself busy with doing something or the other with her team.

Reena left KGF yesterday to live her life outside of this mess. She had a talk with Reena about her future. She knew she lost both her fiancé & her father and was completely alone and wanted to help her as much as she can. She remembered their conversation she had with her on the day of their return from Dubai.

Flashback :

Regina : I know I should have approached you and tried to help you earlier but ... I do not have any justification for my actions. I'm sorry.

Reena : You need not apologize to me about anything. I understand. You yourself were in a more tough situation, with your forced marriage with Rocky and what not. I appreciate your concern.

Regina : I cannot change the past, but I can help you with your future. What do you want to do now. Whatever it is, I'll make sure it happens. If you want to go back to your previous life in Bangalore, I will announce that you are here all this time accompanying me as we are friends. No one needs to know anything about your kidnapping. You can go back to the society with the same status quo. Or if you want to start afresh somewhere abroad, just choose the place, I'll have someone arrange everything and refer people I knew who can take care of you once you reach there.

Reena hesitantly: I actually like someone and would like to stay with him. Regina doesn't know the reason but she felt her heart beating a mile a minute and her palms sweating all of a sudden. She hesitantly inquires who. Reena replies and both were seen conversing for quite a while, but the conversation is muffled ...

Regina hesitantly asks in a low voice: Are you sure this is what you want? Think carefully once again.

Reena nods her head confidently. Regina heaves a sigh and replies.

Regina : As you wish. Everything will be arranged and don't worry about Rocky. I'll handle him if he has any objections.

Saying she left Reena to pack.

Flashback ends

Yesterday, Reena was seen leaving in one of the choppers and Regina stating that she had made all the arrangements as promised and to contact her as soon as she got settled. Reena thanked her for everything and left but not before giving a piece of advice to Regina.

Regina : You are sorting everyone's lives but yours. why?

Regina with a rueful smile on her face : Because the others' can be sorted while mine cannot.

Reena : Is it? Or are you keeping yourself from getting it sorted? You know Rocky likes you. In fact, he's crazy about you. He is ready to kill and die for you. And I knew for a fact that you like him as well. So, what's stopping you? Why are you stopping yourself from accepting that love and being happy?

Regina turned her face away : I do not like him. I do not know where you got this misunderstanding, but I'm only here for the people.

Reena scoffs : Yeah.. right. That's why you fulfil every responsibility of a wife right? You keep track of Rocky's whereabouts and well being all the time. Always try to guide him in the right path. Even now. Don't misunderstand me. I'm grateful for your help. I know you are good person at heart and would have helped me anyway, but helping me by going out of your way is because you feel it's your responsibility to correct Rocky's mistake. Don't deny it. I have seen the pattern from the time I stepped foot in KGF. So, my question remains the same. What's stopping you from accepting Rocky openly?

Regina with a sad sigh : He killed my family. How can I forget that and lead a happy life with him? How can I betray my family like that?

Reena with a humorless chuckle : What a coincidence? He killed my fiancé. He's responsible for my father's death. So should I keep a grudge on him as well. If we keep on holding on to the past, we can never move ahead and be happy. Also don't forget how our family was. Yes, they treated us right and loved us very much but except for us, you know how they treated the entire world. So, don't loose Rocky just because you cannot look past what he's done to your family. He might have killed your family that night, but he protected 20,000 people by doing that. He did it for them.

Seeing Regina not speaking anything, she asked : What is your mother's opinion on this?

Regina turned her head to Reena abruptly at her question. She remembered her conversation with her mother, actually conversations in the last few days urging her to let go of the past and asking her to accept Rocky. It seems she is mighty impressed with him and seems to know everything happening here. She need to find out who the traitor is who is giving her all the unnecessary updates. It was her mistake actually that put the final nail in the coffin, her mother has this crazy way of getting the truth out of her and made her confess that she indeed like Rocky. From then onwards, she is urging her to accept Rocky, always squealing like a fan girl whenever she sees Rocky pass by while she is video chatting with Regina. And it didn't help that Rocky is an absolute charmer when he wants to be and managed to get in the god books of her mother with just one conversation. Her mind went back to the incident a few days back.
