"I wanted nothing more than to vomit the words the filled my head,

But every time I tried to pry myself open enough to release them,

the words stuck to the rough of my mouth, clogging up my throat, suffocating me

For the first time in days, I slept comfortably in the arms of King Sebastian.

I must've worn myelf out last night because I didn't even remember falling asleep until I was awoken by the quiet, but frustrated voice of King Xavier.

"What does that even mean?" He hissed as I cracked my eyes open, stretching with a yawn.

"Good morning, Hanna." King Sebastian whispered, his hand coming up to stroke my head. "How did you sleep?"

I clammed up, hyperaware of the eyes of King Alexander and King Xavier on me. Turning away, I buried my head in the pillow.

"Good," I mumbled. "How'd you sleep?" I attempted to ask, but it just came out as a muffled voice, words blocked by the pillow.

"Seb." Snapped, King Xavier. "You wanted to have the meeting in here, don't get fucking distracted."

I heard a small laugh from King Alexander. "Aww, don't be jealous, Xavier. Once you chill out with that prickly attitude, I'm sure Hanna will give you some attention too."

"I am not fucking jealous." He growled.

"Yes, you are."

"No, I'm fuck-"

King Sebastian stood up from the bed, silencing the both of them.

I peeked out, rolling over so I could see what was going on. At some point during the night, King Sebastian had shed his shirt, cause now he stood shirtless staring down at his brothers. They were occupying the couch, their bodies turned toward him.

"Shall we continue our discussion?" King Sebastian looked at them pointedly.

King Xavier grumbled and crossed his arms over his chest. While King Alexander looked over at me for a second before focusing back on King Sebastian. It looked like he wanted to say something but then changed his mind.

"So vamps are what? Playing both sides? Which side are they on then?" King Xavier demanded.

"They are on our side." King Sebastian said simply, walking over to the closet. "But they have decided to not make a public proclamation about it. They wanted to be able to have access to information our cousin might give if he thinks they are on his side."

He came out of the closet wearing a pair of black slacks and buttoning up a white dress shirt. I watched mesmerized as his bare chest sadly disappeared behind the shirt.

"Great. We have the support of the vampires. Who else?" King Alexander asked.

"The Witch Coven is refusing to meet with us, so it is safe to assume that they have decided to side with our cousin. The New Moon is arriving soon. We must visit the Fae Realm to speak with the Unseelie Queen and the Seelie King. Though, I fear the Unseelie Queen will refuse to see us. We must be prepared that she has decided to side with the Witch Covens." Explained King Sebastian.
