Chapter 13: So Many Surprises

I left Tristen and Vic alone with Isabella. She looked a lot like Vic but a lot like Tristen. I went to go see Kaitlyn. I knocked on the door. "Come in." I heard a weak voice. I walked in to see Kaitlyn with all kinds of tubes hooked up to her.

"Dez?" Kaitlyn asked. I nodded. "What are you doing here?"

"Your little sister told me you were here so I decided to come to visit you since I was already here." I explained.

"Why were you here?" She asked.

"Tristen was pregnant with Vic's baby and she delivered," I said. "Why are you in here?" I asked.

"There's poisoning in my blood from cutting." She said.

"I thought you stopped." I said.

"I did, but I started again." She explained. "I'm sorry." My phone lit up. It was Kellin.

Meet me at the house in 10. He said.

"Here," I handed her a piece of paper with my number on it. "Call or text me anytime you want to hang out. I hope you get better." I said, walking out.

I drove home and found Kellin nowhere. There was a note taped to the door. It said, If you want to see your surprise, go to the backyard. -Kellin. I walked to the backyard and found a puppy with a box in it's mouth.

I took the box out of it's mouth and petted it before I read the top of the box. It said, Open me. So I did. Inside there was a ring. Oh my god. He wants to marry me? That's why he's been acting so weird. I thought.

Kellin came out of the bushes and brushed himself off before he took the box from my hands and got on one knee. He smiled.

"Will you marry me?" He asked. I covered my mouth with my hands.

"Yes. Absolutely." He slipped the ring on my finger and kissed me.

"That's why you've been acting so weird." I said.

"Well yeah, I couldn't just tell you. It'd give away everything." He said.

"I can't wait to start my future with you." He said.

"Me either." I kissed him.
