We were able to bring the twins home and Jamie took one of the spare rooms. Being the only one who knew what happened to her over there, I wanted her close to me. When I was still overseas, I was the only one in our unit able to calm her down. After hearing that she was repeatedly raped during her capture, she was bound to have PTSD attacks.

I'd just gotten the girls back to sleep in the middle of the night when I heard screams come from the room Jamie was in. Sarah bursts from her room with a gun and I shake my head. She looks at me confused as Jamie screams for it to stop. She looks at me with understanding and I let myself in Jamie's room.

She was tossing and turning, drenched in sweat. I take her in my arms and she beats on my chest. "Jamie, it's me," I shout over her screaming and she opens her eyes, scared. "It's okay now, you're home."

"Jennifer," she asks in a scared whisper as if she thought she were dreaming.

"I'm here," I say in a soothing whisper and she lets out a calming breath. I rock her side to side and say softly, "Get some sleep."

"You won't leave," she asks in a choked whisper.

"No," I say in a soothing whisper and she lets out a relieved sigh.

It wasn't long before she fell back to sleep and Kelly pokes her head in. She notices Jamie sleeping on my chest and tears fill her eyes. "Claire and I aren't enough for you that you're bedding with my sister," she asks with a tease in her tone.

"I offered her to stay here, because I know what happened to her over there and I was the only one ever able to calm her down," I choke quietly and she loses the smile on her face . "She's so bad with her PTSD she thought I was an illusion."

"Thank you," she chokes quietly, tucking hair from Jamie's sweaty face. "You've done a lot for my sister and I can't thank you enough for what you've done."

"You don't have to," I say quietly and she gives me a kiss. "I promised I'd stay here with her. I just fed and changed the twins, they should be okay until morning."

She nods lightly and gives me a kiss before heading back to bed with Claire. Jamie moves closer to me, her face scrunched up in fear and I stroke her hair. She relaxes against me and buries her face in my neck. I wrap my arms tighter around her and she lets out a content sigh.

I woke the next morning to Jamie stroking the scar on my chest from the night I married Kelly. "I almost died on our wedding night and Peyton is suffering because of it," I choke quietly and she looks up at me.

"I never thanked you for saving my life," she chokes quietly as tears roll down her cheeks.

"I never thanked you for keeping my secret," I choke with a smile and she looks away, blushing.

"Good to know it works," she says shyly. "Those girls are beautiful Jennifer and I'm sure the triplets will be just as beautiful."

"Can I ask you something and be honest," I ask quietly and she nods. "Did you have feelings for me?"

She gives me a sad smile as tears roll down her cheeks. "They never went away, but you're married to my sister and together you're in a relationship with her best friend. I never stood a chance with you," she chokes quietly and looks away from me. "Thank you for last night. It was the best sleep I had in years."

"I'll loan you my hoodie to sleep in tonight, I just want to see something if it'll help you," I say quietly and she nods lightly. "Come  meet your nieces."

She looks at me with a smile and we leave the room, heading for the nursery. They were just starting to wake up and we quickly scoop them up before they start screaming. I bring her down to the kitchen for a couple of pumped bottles and warm them. Kennedy seemed to take a liking to Jamie, trying to suck on her finger like a bottle.
