We were sitting in the living room after dinner. I had grabbed the extra clothes from my car I leave in there incase I drink with my mother and stay the night with her. I went up to the guest room to change out of my dress clothes and into what I planned to sleep in for the night. A men's tank top, and a pair of shorts.

When I came back down, Kelly couldn't keep her eyes off me. I had an extra set for her to wear that would be loose around her waist for the baby. I hand her the clothes and she looks at me confused.

"I'd feel better knowing you were wearing clothes that stretched over your forming bump," I say softly. "I'll take you to my place tomorrow. Jess should have clothes you can start wearing now."

"You really care about her baby, don't you," Valerie asks softly.

"Yes," I choke in a whisper and look at her with tears in my eyes.

I leave the clothes with Kelly and walk out to sit on the back patio. Their golden retriever, Maggie, came out and sat next to me. I pet her head and she rests her head in my lap. I sat there in silence,  occasionally petting the dog as tears roll down my cheeks.

A few minutes later Kelly sits next to me in the clothes I left her. "They're comfortable, thank you," she says softly.

"She would have been two today," I choke quietly. "I wanted to ask you to dinner and go pay her a visit for her birthday. I was going to tell Jess I found someone who put a smile on my face in two years and that I needed to let go."

"I'm sorry," she chokes in a whisper. "I had no idea what today was."

"You just lost your sister," I choke with a smile. "I'll visit them after the funeral for Jamie."

"I know they usually keep the sperm donor anonymous, but Joyce told me that the day my eggs were fertilized, your sperm was all we had in stock at the hospital. She said she remembered you donating a year ago," Kelly chokes quietly and I look at her in shock. "She looked over my case when I told her about you. She just emailed me this."

She hands me her phone and the email showed a DNA match from me and Kelly's baby. "You had left over blood that was drawn to test for any embolism in your blood the day you were shot saving my life. She used it to compare with the sperm she used to fertilize my eggs and they're a match," she chokes as tears roll down my cheeks.

"This is legit," I ask in a choked whisper, pointing to her phone.

"We could always run another test to be sure, but I believe it," she chokes quietly.

I caress her bump and smile through my tears. "What are the chances of any of this being possible? From my sperm with your egg, to us meeting two weeks ago," I ask in a choked whisper.

"Maybe this is all a sign from Jess," she chokes quietly and places her hand over mine on her stomach.

As if confirming Kelly's theory, a gust of wind blew her in my arms. Our faces were a breath away from a kiss and we make eye contact. I could smell jasmine, but Kelly wore a vanilla musk perfume. "Jess wore jasmine perfume, do you smell it," I ask in a choked whisper and she nods lightly.

I give her a kiss and feel our tears mingle between our cheeks. She moves to straddle my lap and runs her hands in my hair. I break from the kiss after a moment and lay my head on her chest. I let out a calming breath and she strokes my hair.

"Is everything okay out here," Valerie asks with concern.

"Today is also the day she lost Jess and Cassie," Kelly chokes quietly and hands over her phone with the email. "Joyce sent me this a few minutes ago."
