It had been a couple of house since Jeremiah
and Melanie went swimming. They had both
gotten pretty tired and decided to head back.
Laurel and Susannah was more than happy
that they were both back in time for dinner.

So there the family's were-sitting at the big
dinning table, filled with delicious food. But
for some reason Melanie had no appetite. One
certain thought stayed on top of her mind.

Her dad.

Her and her dad, had always had a close
relationship that they cherished. So of course
she was upset when her parents got a divorce.
Ever since they're divorce, Melanie
completely changed.

The relationship with her dad was pretty
ruined. She felt that he didn't care as much as
he did for Belly and Steven when the divorce
happened. And the way he moved on so
quickly from Laurel, truly amazed her.
Her outfits used to be filled with color and
happiness. But now they were dull and empty.
But just because her style was different, it
didn't take away the fact that she still looked
hot wearing them. She always found a way to
through a tiny bit of color into her clothing
for the contrast--but that was all.

She felt a kick to her leg, pulling her out of
her thoughts. She looked up to see Jeremiah,
who wore a concerned look. He watched as
she dazed out completely, being on her own
little world. She looked very deep into
thought, almost as if she was sad. And
Jeremiah hated to see Melanie sad, so of
course he had to make sure she was okay.
Melanie sent him a small reassuring nod,
enough to make him feel better. His attention
still didn't completely drift away from her
though. Still concerned for her well-being.

"Steven I swear to god, if you look at that
phone one more time it's going in the screen
basket" Laurel threatened, watching Steven
and Jeremiah laugh at something on his
phone he clearly had pulled out.

"It's just we want to see your beautiful faces.
Can dinner be a free-screen zone? You know
like the olden days." Susannah tried to
mediate the situation, instead of threatening
them. The rest of the kids just watched in
amusement as the whole situation took place.

But instead of Steven listening, he went back
to whatever was so possibly interesting on his
phone. But Jeremiah had other plans.
"Steven" Jeremiah called getting the boys
attention to be on him. Before Steven could
react, Jeremiah snatched Steven phone away,
standing up to throw his phone onto the
basket in the chair a little bit away from the
table.

"Dude are you kidding me?" Steven groaned
annoyance. Melanie couldn't help but laugh
at the scene taking place in front of her.
"Boom!" Jeremiah grew excited at his truck
shot he was able to pull off. "Nailed it"
