After the long night, Laurel took Melanie home seeing that she was on the brink of falling asleep.
She already knew the alcohol she consumed wouldn't do her so good. She already had a hangover the day before, she really didn't want another.
Sleep almost fully took over her, when a slight knock sounded on her door.
She groaned. "Come in" still covered up by her covers, she was faced with a complete tear stained Conrad.
It was like her tired state completely went away focusing only on Conrad. His body was slumped down, not letting his eyes meet Melanie's.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Melanie's asked softly, not wanting him to lash out on her. He shook his head. She took that as an indication to comfort him.
Melanie shot up from her bed, wrapping Conrad in the tightest hug. He weakly hugged her back. She wrapped her arms tighter around his waste. His head burying deeper into Melanie's neck.
She could feel his salty tears soak her sleeves, but she didn't mind. She'd be there for anyone of her best friends in a instant. Conrad seemed to be going through something and she gonna be there to comfort him.
The moms said he was in a mood because of his heart break with his first love. But Melanie could see there was something far deeper then that.
They had moved to the edge of her bed- letting him just rest his head on her shoulder. They're feet dangled off the side of the bed, staring aimlessly around the room.
The sound of soft snores, begun to seep out of Conrad's mouth. His uncontrollable sobs had silenced, leaving the room quiet.
Melanie gently placed Conrad's head onto her pillow. She pushed his waist slightly so he could be a little more comfortable. She grabbed a fluffy side blanket, placing it carefully on Conrad's body. Melanie turned off her light, making sure to close her door, quietly behind her.
Melanie was a little upset about not being able to sleep in her own bed, but as long as her best friend was comfortable she was beyond okay.
Her feet dragged along the hall, as the sleepy feeling came back to her.
She knew she couldn't sleep in Belly's room, because her bed was far to small and she wasn't sleeping in the floor.
Her next option was Steven, but he loved to snore the whole night, so he was technically wasn't an option to began with. The last person available was Jeremiah.
Melanie sighed to herself. She knew he wouldn't care, it was just gonna be awkward on her part. First, how in the world do you explain to somebody that their brother is sleeping in your bed cause of some unknown reason. It was gonna be a long night.
