Melanie always went to the annual bonfire at cousins. Sometimes a little amount of people showed up and other times lots of people showed up. It was just one of those things that weren't decided.
She knew Laurel wasn't gonna let her walk out to a party in something inappropriate. So she tried to find something decent. Melanie went through the her draws full of clothes deciding on what she was gonna where, before Steven and Jeremiah rushed her out of the door.
Melanie felt happy with her simple outfit. If she was being honest, she actually didn't feel like dressing nice--knowing as soon as she got home, she'd be out of her in comfortable clothes and into some comfy.
Melanie picked up her phone from off her bed and headed out of her room. She jogged down the stairs, planning on going to the living room where she was meeting the boys. But instead she ran into Laurel and Susannah,
"Hey, are you going to the bonfire with them?" Laurel asked her daughter. Referring to the boys as who she was going with.
"Yeah, but we'll be back soon" Melanie replied, giving her mom a short hug, before finally meeting the boys in the living room.
"Okay I'm ready" As her voice boomed through the living room, both Jeremiah and Steven turned around to face the girl.
Jeremiah's eyes lit up, checking out the beautiful girl in front of him. He completely dropped the conversation he was having with Steven and made his way over to Melanie. "Wow just wow" Jeremiah spun the girl around, pulling her into his chest before letting her go. She smiled brightly, loving the affection she was getting. "You. Look. Hot."
Steven getting fed up with the blonde flirting with his sister right in front of him- walked right between the two, ramming straight into them--causing both to slightly stumble back.
What they didn't know was that Laurel and Susannah were admiring the love that Melanie and Jeremiah showed for each other. But both were just to blind to see it.
After recovering from Steven pushing the both, the made they're way to the back porch to collect Conrad. But to they're surprise he was in a half-deep conversation with Belly. Instead of letting them finish talking they forced Jeremiah to get up. Once he was up to join the three, belly made sure to get her words in.
"Can I come?" She practically begged them all, hoping to be able to finally join them for once.
"No" Steven bluntly said. Belly then turned her head over to Jeremiah for his answer.
