The next morning Melanie woke up to the
bright sun shining through her curtains. She
groaned from the brightness, only feeling
slightly better from the alcohol.

She put on a white graphic tee, it was cropped
and clung around her body. Along with some
loose jean shorts, Nike high socks and high
top Converses. Her hair was down just below
her shoulders, with its usual loose, wavy
curls.

She jogged downstairs, entering the kitchen,
where everyone mainly was. She wasn't to
shocked by the fact, everyone had already
woke up before her.

"Mel! Good morning" Susannah was the first
to see the teenage girl who just entered the
kitchen.

Melanie smiled. "Morning" She waltzed over
to Jeremiah, tugging a strand of his hair.
"Morning, dickwad" She happily sat beside
him on the stool.

He returned the gesture, tugging a single
strand of her hair. "Morning, bitch"

Melanie feigned taking offense, holding her
hand over her heart. "That was very
offensive"

Jeremiah tilted his head. "Really? I didn't

Melanie stuck her tongue out at the boy in a
childish manner.

Susannah and Belly had began to start up a conversation of their own.

"Don't worry, Susannah. I'm asking Cam,

and Melanie's attention off of each other.

Laurel looked over to Susannah. "I don't
know my kids anymore"

"Don't worry mom, I don't plan on getting a
boyfriend any time soon" Melanie spoke up,
earning a laugh from her mother.

"Better stay that way"

Susannah sent Laurel a look, one that Laurel
seemed to easily read. Melanie furrowed her
evebrows. "You know that won't last long
laur"

Laurel pursed her lips, gently pushing her
best friend. "Wait, what's that supposed to
mean?"

Jeremiah too seemed to be just as confused as
Melanie. He wanted to know who they
thought she would be together with.

Susannah looked over to Laurel to give her a
knowing smile. Susannah did a double take at
her best friend. "Wait, are you wearing
makeup?" She paused to study Laurel. "Yeah,
she's wearing makeup"

Steven looked as equally shocked. "Oh my.
she definitely is"

"Ohh!" Jeremiah giddily shouted.

Belly giggled. "Mom!"

Melanie smirked through her laughs. "Who's
the special one?"

Laurel brushed everybody off, pretending not
to care. "So what? We're having party
