It had been a couple hours since the incident at the pool. Susannah told the kids to get ready, considering Belly's birthday dinner was soon to be ready.
Susannah made the girls wear Midsummer themed flower crowns, that complimented their beautiful hair.
Melanie had beautiful beach waves in her hair, flowing whenever she moved.
The family and friends sat at the big dining table. Even Cam was there. Melanie so far loved the relationship between her sister and Cam, he seemed like an amazing and sweet guy. But that wouldn't stop her from going full Carrie underwood on him, if he ever hurt Belly.
The couple sat together, wearing bright smiles. Melanie had been squished between Summer and Steven, with Jeremiah right beside Steven, like usual.
"So Cam. You mind if I call you Cam Cameron" Jeremiah teased, but also being slightly curious, forcing Cam to look up at Jeremiah, who was endlessly teasing the poor boy. Melanie rolled her eyes, internally groaning at how uncomfortable he was making Cam. She could tell what he was trying to do, it was pretty obvious to everyone.
Cam just laughed, being oblivious to Jeremiah plan to mess with Belly. "Mm-hmm. Yeah man. Feel free. That's funny"
Jeremiah nodded, not so satisfied. "Cool"
Susannah turned to the boy, pulling a bright smile. "I'm glad you're here, Cameron. I know your mom, Denise, from the club. I've heard a lot about you"
Cam nodded back in a polite manner. "Thank you so much for having me, Susannah. my mom says hi"
Laurel walked into the room, holding a couple bowls in hand. She walked to the end of the table, towards Cam. "Cam, have you ever had miyeok-guk before?" The short women asked politely. "It's a Korean birthday tradition" Laurel explained, handing the dish over to the boy.
He shook his head, as he took the bowl that was handed to him. "No. Looks so good, Thank you"
Laurel began to grabbed some unused thing off the table, tidying stuff up, like normal. "Belly told me your vegetarian, so I didn't put any meat in it"
"Thank you Laurel" Cam looked up to Laurel, smiling at her thankfully.
"Oh, geez" Cam smiled.
Jeremiah smirked. "Why don't you eat meat, Cam Cameron?" Melanie could once again tell that the blonde boy was trying to get at something. Her foot stretched over Stevens, kicking Jeremiah in the shin. His head quickly turned over to Steven, thinking he was the culprit, but he saw that Steven wasn't even looking his way, it was Melanie's hard expression that gave it away that it was her.
