Chapter 28 : Fragile hope

We have two weeks break before going back to school so everyone decided to have a trip to Jeju in one week, it's been a long time since we're going on a vacation like this and i'm so excited now.

This is also my chance to talk and get closer to Jaemin, Karina told me to tell him some of our memories before so that he can easily remember me.

After packing up all of the clothes i need for this trip inside my luggage, then i put some other necessary things into my backpack.

Everything is done now so i go downstairs to have breakfast with my parents, when i go to the kitchen still carrying my bag and my luggage, my dad said,

"Jeongmin-ah, take a seat."

I put down my luggage and my bag then sat down beside dad, he gave me a cup of tea and continued,

"Make sure to bring everything you need cause the trip is quite long and be careful when you go to the beach, cause you can't swim you know ?"

I just nodded, a bit later, mom then sat down with us, she looked at me and said,

"It's been a long time since you went on a vacation so just enjoy your time there."

Then my dad said,

"Your mom is right, you don't have to think or worry anything else, just relax."

I just smiled and nodded, after knowing that i didn't do well for the final test, he didn't scold me as i thought, but he gave me a lot of advices and motivation.

After eating, my dad takes me to the airport, he told me to be careful and enjoy my trip there, when i entered the airport, the others are already waiting for me, while Haechan, NingNing, Jake and Karina are smiling at me, Karina even waved her hand at me, but only Jaemin stared at me with his blank face.

Somehow it makes me a bit sad, but i always tell myself that i have to be strong and patient, everything is gonna be fine.

There're still half an hour to our flight, i'm sitting between Karina and Jaemin, i try to focus on my phone so that i won't be awkward with him.

I don't know if i'm sick or just because of the atmosphere inside the airport is so cold but i'm shaking right now and i didn't bring my jacket with me cause i thought i wouldn't need it.

But then Jaemin suddenly took off his jacket and gave it to me, i was so surprised at his action, i'm hesitated for a while before i took it and said,

"Thank you."

He didn't look at me and shyly said,

"No need, cause.....you're my girlfriend right ?"

I just nodded and didn't say anything else cause i don't know what he means by that, a bit later, we quickly stand up when there's an announcement, after checking in, we get on the plane.

I want to sit next to Karina but she already took a seat beside Jake then i'm about to sit next to Haechan, Jaemin already pulled my hand to make me sit down beside him.

Everything was so sudden and i don't know how to react to this, i just looked outside the window, Jaemin is so weird today, he didn't mind to look at me even just a second yesterday, but he already cared for me a lot today, somehow it makes me doubted about Karina or Haechan, maybe they have said something to him.

I want to close my eyes to sleep now but it's so uncomfortable here to lean your head on the window to sleep, suddenly Jaemin said while tapping on his shoulder,

"Here."

Although he just said it so simple, but i already guessed what he meant by that, so i slowly leaned my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes, this moment somehow makes me remember that time when we first came to Jeju, also the time when Jaemin confessed to me, i couldn't forget it.
