Chapter 22 : Karina's birthday

I lay down on my bed and think about what Jaemin said to me just now, he's going to Australia for 3 months and will come back on the next semester.

It's good for him but also i feel a bit sad, so i'm not gonna meet him for a long time, i hope that he'll be fine and he'll come back as soon as possible.

I try to calm down and told myself that there's nothing to worry, but deep inside, there's something tell me that i should beware, everything could happen.

Today is a very special to day to me, cause it's my birthday today, it's the first time i celebrated it with my friends, actually i don't know how to prepare a party so i will just invited them to a restaurant and have a meal with them.

Another thing that also important is that today....i'm going to confess my feelings for Jake, i know i'm not ready yet, but i think i can hide him anymore.

When i come to my class, i saw Jeongmin sitting in her table and she looks so bored and tired, so i sat down beside her and asked,

"Hey, what's wrong with you today ?"

But she just keeps silent and looking outside the window, then she sighed, she didn't say anything or looked at me either.

I then slowly tapped on her shoulder and asked her once again,

"Hey....if there's something that's bothering you, just tell me, maybe i can help."

Finally, she shook her head and said,

"Yeah.... it's.....something not very important, just forget about it."

I try to persuade her to tell it to me, after a while, she sighed and said,

"Jaemin already go to Australia with his family for some personal reasons and he promised he'll go back on the next semester."

So that's why she looked so sad because she couldn't meet him on the next three months, i feel bad for her, but then i said,

"Hey just forget about it, i'm sure he'll come back soon, but today is my birthday by the way, will you come ?"

She then looked at me and said,

"Oh....then i will come."

I excitedly said,

"Great, then let's go to the mall later, we need to look great tonight."

At lunch time, i'm walking around to find Jake, cause i still haven't told him about my birthday yet, but i didn't see him anymore in the school.

When i was walking in the hallway, i noticed that guy Jeno who's standing in front of the teacher's office, then he suddenly approached me and said,

"Hey, you're Karina right ?"

I just nodded and he continued,

"Then can you sign up in this, it's for the competition tomorrow that you'll be joined in."

I took the paper in his hand and read it, there's my name written on it and other information, i'll participate in the Math competition tomorrow cause i'm not good in History or Literature.

Then i looked at him and said,

"I will sign it and give it to Mr.Choi later, then....."
