I paused in the room as both Alicio and I stopped talking to hear what was being said outside of the room.

"So....you still hate my cousin?"

"With every fiber of my being." Sage answered.

"How can you hate him but not me?" That sounded like Nico.

"Because you didn't call me a shit talking psychotic whore." She answered.

"Well.....at least not to your face."

"Fuck you." There was a slight pause. "Don't you dare say it." She spoke and they both began laughing.

"I was only going to say something about Alicio but I realized the joke was probably too soon. I promise it was completely harmless though. You would have laughed."

"Whatever. Saying anything about that man would be too soon." She scoffed and I watched as Alicio listened in carefully near the door.

"I didn't know Xyla was back." Nico changed the subject. If Nico was here then so was Marcus. They never went anywhere without each other and I kind of admired their relationship. It still is shocking to see Niccolo Black, the leader of one of the largest gangs in the state, in love though. We all thought it would have never happened.

"Apparently." Sage grumbled.

"I heard Dom and her fucking on my way in. Marcus couldn't stop laughing and insisted we didn't want to be near them to hear how dirty they can get."

"I KNOW. They go for hours and it's honestly impressive how much stamina they both have. It's like the sex Olympics in there and she always comes back for more."She let out a gag and I leaned against the wall beside Alicio.

"She's going to kill you in the next three weeks you know...." I told him and he gave me a look. "So will Dom when he finds out you are going to force her into marriage with you."

"By the time she's my wife they both won't even know what happened." He turned to me. "And they'll kill you once they find out you helped me and signed off on it." He walked towards the table and pulled out a pen before signing his side of the document.

"Maybe..." I shrugged.

"She'll get over it."

"Or she may be stuck in a loveless marriage for the rest of her life." I looked to the ceiling.

"Our marriage definitely will never be loveless, even if the love is one sided. And I'm pretty sure she would rather me over my psychotic cousin." He tried to reason.

"Why don't you just ask her to marry you?" I suggest.

"Because she would say no and I don't care about her consent when it comes to this." He answered almost immediately and I opened my mouth before closing it.
