"Cat out of what box?" Both of their heads snapped to me as I walked back towards them.

"That both of us are shitty people and practically don't deserve anyone's trust" Alicio spoke up before he leaned his seat back. "Out of the three of us Maven will be the only one who survives this." He glared at her slightly but she didn't laugh. In fact, she didn't make any type of reaction. She simply looked down at my hands and stayed silent.

"Mave?" I called out, causing her to look up at me as I sat across from her once more.

"Yeah?"

"What are you hiding?" I questioned and she raised an eyebrow.

"You think I'm smart enough to hide something from you? Awww, that makes me feel so special." A soft laugh fell from her lips.

"I think you're smart enough to get away with a lot." I answered honestly. It was obvious she would pick up some things after living with us her whole life. She probably overheard a lot of conversations or had been confided in for a lot of us. I know I talked to her about shit I didn't want anyone else knowing about.

"I guess I am, aren't I." She said softly, her eyes darting back down to her lap. Her hazel eyes didn't meet mine again after that.

Her cheeks were still flushed and the freckle that usually fanned them from the bridge of her nose was barely noticeable with the tan of her skin.

She shifted slightly and I knew she was indeed hiding something and she didn't want anyone to know. I trusted her enough to not push the subject but my curiosity was something that I had always satisfied. This time however, I had to restrain from invading her privacy.

Trying to be a good and respectable man sucks. I sighed and laid back in my seat.

"Try and get some sleep. We have about four hours útil we land and have to deal with thing one and thing two in the back." I instructed and Alicio softly agreed.

Soon after we all fell asleep.

"It won't happen again....dad please. I promise." I begged as he yanked on my arm and threw me into the back of a van.

"I only wanted one of you. I only needed Dominic...not you." He then slammed the door shut in my face. My heart beat fast in my chest and I was almost tempted to tell him the truth. I was tempted to yell and tell him that I am Dominic and that I switched places with Damien.

If he really cared he would be able to tell his two sons apart but no....he's a shit father and doesn't care enough to be able to tell us apart.

I was going to die and I wasn't about to sacrifice my twin to survive, no. So I sat down in the corner and waited as the van drove off until I felt the familiar bounce of the vehicle. We were going over the rough terrain where the pit was.
