Part 8: The Proposel

Narraters POV
The seasons change, the leaves fall from the trees, the snow falls from the sky, the flowers grow from the earth, and the sun shines down on EarthLand.

Coming up is Natsu and Lucy's three year anniversary, the year 884.
The year that the world will be forever scarred with the mark of Death.

Natsu's POV
I was in Hargeon with Lucy, taking her to the spot where we first met. The sun was setting as we got there, and I was nervous to the point of no return.

"It's so beautiful here, what an amazing place to spend our three year anniversary!" Lucy cheered as we sat down on a bench, watching the sun set.
"Yeah," I agreed while Lucy put her head on my shoulder.

Natsu's POV
'Okay, here it goes,' I thought nervously as I got up from my spot next to Lucy.

I kneeled down in front of her, and stared into her eyes.

"Lucy Heartfilia, I can't imagine my life with you." I started, Lucy already catching up to what was happening.
"I love you so much that it hurts, and I mean it hurts like hell, but that doesn't matter because it's the good kind of pain. The pain that you feel everyday because your so damn happy. And for so long whenever I'm with you I have felt that pain, and for a really long time I thought I could ignore it, but in the past three years I have learned that you can't ignore love.
You just can't ignore that urge to be that the person who owns your heart, and whenever I'm not around you I start to hurt in a way that actually hurts, and it because your not there to take it away with your beautiful smile, and the way you laugh, or the way you always have a burning passion to protect the people close to you. I don't know what it is, but you have some affect on me, and sometimes I seriously wonder if you have put me under a spell. But that's stupid, I don't need to wonder weather you did put me under a spell or not, I know you have, and you did it without even knowing it. The spell is called Love." I pulled out the ring box from behind my back, "Lucy Lucky Heartfilia I love you so damn much, please promise me that you will always be by my side, and that you will never leave me. Promise?" I asked, grinning when she nodded, "Will you make me the happiest Dragon Slayer in the entire world and become my wife?" I asked again.
Lucy smiled and said "Of corse I will!"
I hugged her tightly and slipped the ring on her finger. "I love you Natsu," she said before kissing me.

'Finally!" I thought.

Natsu's POV
Lucky and I managed to get the attention of everyone in the guild, getting ready to tell them the big news.

"Hi guys!" I yell, putting on my grin and waving at everyone. "I have got something super important to tell all of you!" I yell excitedly, showing everyone Lucys hand that had her ring on it, "I will be marrying Lucy Heatfiflia!"

Everyone stayed quiet for a second, but then erupted with cheers and laughter.

Lucy's POV
I watched as everyone in the guild was going at a giant brawl fight, started by Natsu and Gray of corse.

Then someone sat beside me, I looked over to them and smiled awkwardly. "Lisanna?" I asked as she sat beside me. I started to feel a little bit awkward because I knew that her and Natsu had 'history'.

"What a wonderful engagement party," she sighed. I looked at the party and smiled, "yeah, its pretty great, definitely something to remember."

"Lucy?" She asked, looking toward me. "Mmm?" I mumbled, watching Natsu attack everyone.
"Please take care of Natsu for me," she said quietly, I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
She looked embarrassed, "I heard that while I was gone you and Natsu got really close, and to be honest I'm a little jealous."
I was shocked, Lisanna Strauss, the long lost Fairy Tail member, was jealous of me.
"Wha- What?" I stuttered.
"I'm jealous because I know Natsu so well, and so I know when he is in love." She looked me in the eyes, and a lone tear rolled down her puffy cheeks, "I know that Natsu is truly in love with you, so please take care of him for me," she said crying, but still smiling.
"And love him for eternity."
I felt a tear role down my face as well, then I put my hand on top of her hand, and nodded my head, "I will, I promise!"
