Happys POV (adult mature Happy)

*•* Time Skip: 7 Years *•*
"Good morning daddy!" my daughter said to me as I got up to have a glass of warm milk. I ruffled the fur that was in between her hair, "good morning Faith!" I said happily, though every time I say her name I wince in pain. 'I'm a bad father, naming my daughter offer something that hurt me so badly,' I thought as Faith hugged me.
"Faith?" I asked she wandered off to play with her toys, "yes daddy?" She responded sweetly, "where is you mom?" I asked curiously, "oh, I think mama went to the guild to check on Auntie Wendy and Uncle Romeo," she said carelessly. I smiled, "okay thanks Faithy," I answered as I went to make breakfast.

Carla's POV
"Wendy, don't be foolish!" I said irritatedly, "this is not a joke, you have to be more careful!"
"Carla! You are not my mother, I can make my own decisions. I'm okay, besides Romeo is helping me!" She said angrily.
Romeo came up and wrapped his arms around Wendy's back, wresting his hands lightly on her swollen belly. "Don't worry Carla, we can do this," Romeo reassured me. I sighed, "I know you can," I said knowing my defeat. I started to walk toward the door, "I'm going to go home to check on Faith and Happy now. Good bye." I said hugging Romeo, and being swatted away from Wendy.

'What happened to my sweet little Wendy?' I asked myself foolishly, "Don't be silly, Carla, you know exactly why she is like that." I scolded myself out loud.
'The world just isn't the same anymore.' I frowned in my head. 'Everyone says their happy, but we're all going through the same despair and regret.'

'Seven years has come by too fast.'
A few tears made their way down my aged face. I looked up at the sky, it had started to rain. 'So the world is still crying too.'

(A/N reason why they named their daughter Faith, and why Happy winces whenever he thinks about it.)

Happys POV
"It's a beautiful baby girl!" I said happily as Carla panted from just running here with me.(A/N exceeds don't give birth, they lay eggs,so they ran there when the egg started to hatch.) Carla smiled the beautiful smile that makes me happy, the smile I fell in love with.

"What should we name her?" Carla asked, holding our new born carefully in her arms.
I thought for a moment, "we should name her after something that makes us happy, that reminds us of our friends and family", I said looking between Carla and our un-named daughter. "Well, I always have trust in my friends, so what about Trust?" Carla suggested. I shook my head, "No, that didn't suit her I don't think."
Carla frowned, then went back thinking. "Oh! What about Faith! We always have Faith in our friends!" I said excitedly. Carla's ears perked up, she smiled at me and said "I think that is perfect!" Before kissing me.

About 20 minutes later Natsu and Lucy came in, hand in hand. "Hey Happy! Hey Carla!" Natsu said happily. Lucy skipped the 'hellos', instead she went right for the baby. "Oh! Wow, your daughter is beautiful!" She said, smiling warmly at Carla and I. "What's her name?" Natsu asked, looking at Faith. Carla and I shared a smile before saying "Faith," at the same time.
Natsu and Lucy lit up, "that's a beautiful name!" They both said in unison.

1 Year Later

Happys POV
My life was over. They were gone, they saved us all. Risked their lives so that we could live our own lives. Sobs wracked my aching body. Everyone who was conscious, was devastated, the ones who we all saw as the people who kept our guild going, had just saved us so we could keep the guild going for generations to come. But there is no Fairy Tail, with out them. Everything is ruined. Everyone is broken.
