Natsu's POV
"What?" Lucy and I yelled in unison.
"Are you serious?!" Lucy shrieked while she stood in the guild during the middle of the night, with Kieanna and Niko.

"Don't worry, I will take good care of them!" Master Mavis said as she smiled and tilted her head to the side.

Lucy looked over to me, and I knew exactly what she was thinking, 'I'm not leaving my kids with a ghost!'

I didn't want to leave Niko or Kieanna either, but I knew we had to, I just didn't think we would leave them in the hands of a dead person.

Lucy was really not wanting this fate, at all, but after a while, she gave in.
But not happily.

Lucy's POV
I kissed Kieanna and Nikos foreheads before giving them one last hug.

Natsu and I stood beside each other, holding our kids. I was holding Kieanna while Natsu had Niko.

I looked at our beautiful babies which teary eyes, knowing that this could very well be the last time I ever saw them.

Letting Kieanna wrap her little fingers around my finger, I looked into her and her twins eyes and said, "Kieanna Luna, and Niko Flame, I love you guys so much. You have amazing futures ahead of you, and I know you will fill your life with happiness and adventures. Mommy and Daddy love you, very much, don't ever forget it.
Cherish your lives, and never forget that we will be there for you around every twist and turn. We will see you soon, Niko and Kieanna, take care of each other, and never leave each other's sides.
We love you, good luck, never forget us."

I looked over to Natsu so see his eyes glistening with fresh tears waiting to fall.
"Take care of our guild for us, I'm counting on you two. I want you guys to never give up, even in the worst of situations, remember that there will always be hope. My dad used to say "it's the darkest nights, that make the brightest stars," remember those words when you are in battle, remember those words when you need to protect your friends. And always know that you mom and I will always love you, see you guys soon."

Natsu said, kissing each child on the forehead, and hugging them tightly as I did minutes before.

Just like pulling off a bandaid, we handed Kieanna and Niko over to Matser Mavis, quick, but this time, very painful.

As Kieanna's body warmth left my arms, I felt like I had been stabbed, and my heart ripped out.

I could feel tears falling uncontrollably as Natsu carried me away, despite how much I fought back, he wouldn't let me go.

I screamed and cried for Kieanna and Niko, struggling to get out of Natsu's grip as he ran away so it wouldn't hurt as much.

But I knew it hurt him too.

Ezra's POV
I felt unbelievably bad for Natsu and Lucy.

Leaving their kids behind them while they had to fight a war.

They were so distracted that Natsu wasn't showing any signs of motion sickness.

He was just sitting down, with Lucy's head in his lap as she slept, still with tears falling down her face.

His had his elbow rested on a window ledge, his head in his palm as he looked out the window, rubbing Lucy's back.

He just stared out the window, completely lost in thought.

I saw a few tears slide down his cheeks, and I knew how much pain and sadness he was truly going through.

I frowned, I really hated seeing my comrades like this, especially when I can't do anything to help them.
