Lisa closed her eyes and pressed her lips against the top of Jennie's head, letting her face linger there as she inhaled the scent of Jennie's hair. "I seem to recall a little while there when we first met when we were just friends." Lisa murmured. "Do you remember?"
Jennie shook her head slightly against Lisa's shoulder.
"You were all upset about some asshole guy and I was doing my best to be a friend. A shoulder to cry on." Lisa brushed her lips against the top of Jennie's head again. "I think I managed to hold out a good 15 minutes before I broke down and kissed you."
Jennie laughed a little, and Lisa felt Jennie's breath tickle the skin at her collarbone as she replied. "I thought I kissed you." Jennie said.
"Is that what you thought?"
Lisa pulled her face away to look down with her, and Jennie looked up and met Lisa's eyes. "You kissed me?"
Lisa didn't answer for a moment, instead resting her forehead against Jennie's. Lisa lifted a hand, wiping the pad of her thumb across one of her dampened cheeks. "We're never going to be just friends, little girl," Lisa whispered, running her thumb across the length of Jennie's lower lip. "Not possible."
She watched silently as Jennie shut her eyes and parted her lips, and Lisa closed the short distance between their mouths, letting her lips linger gently against Jennie's.
"Not just friends, then." Jennie said, when Lisa pulled her face away from hers.
"Not just friends."
"So what are we?"
Lisa broke her gaze away from Jennie and leaned back against the pillows. "I told you in New York..." she said. "I told you what I wanted. Do you want me to say it again Jennie?"
Jennie put her face back against Lisa's shoulder, and she could feel Jennie's lips curving into a smile as she replied. "That was before I bashed your head in and got you kicked out of your own house."
"That's true..." Lisa nodded. "That does change things, doesn't it?"
Jennie looked back up at Lisa in surprise, watching her face as she broke into a grin. "I think you better make it up to me..." Lisa said, dipping her head to kiss Jennie.
She broke away after a moment. "How should I make it up to you?" Jennie asked. "You want me to get you some pizza?"
Lisa shook her head, repositioning herself to run her lips along Jennie's neck as she began undoing the buttons of Jennie's blouse with one hand. "I'm not in the mood for pizza."
"I thought you were dizzy, Lisa."
"Feeling a lot better now..." she muttered against Jennie's neck.
"The doctor said you're not supposed to overexert yourself."
Lisa laid Jennie down on her back against the pillows and pulled her t-shirt off over her head. "Better be gentle with me then."
"Lisa..." Jennie started to protest.
"I'm fine." Lisa said, bending to kiss her. "I'm good now."
Jennie pushed against her chest, rolling Lisa onto her back. "You just relax," Jennie said, going up on her knees and straddling Lisa's legs.
Lisa smirked and brought her hands up behind her head, lounging comfortably against the pillows, as Jennie reached down and began to undo Lisa's belt buckle. She had the belt loosened and had begun to unzip the fly of Lisa's jeans when she stopped and looked back up at Lisa's face, smiling coyly. "Are you sure you don't want any pizza?" Jennie asked. "It's awfully good."
"Jennie..." Lisa glared back at her. "Don't make me overexert myself."
Jennie giggled.
Lisa kicked off her pants, and Jennie began peeling off her own jeans as Lisa pulled back the covers of the bed and slid underneath. "I'm cold." Lisa whispered, wrapping her arms around herself. "I'm really cold."
"Again?" Jennie asked. "Should I come warm you up again?"
Lisa nodded and held the covers open for Jennie. She slipped underneath and began rubbing Lisa's arms vigorously as she'd done earlier in her hospital room. "How's that?" she asked.
Lisa shook her head. "Freezing..." she replied, faking a shiver. Jennie pressed herself closer and began to rub more slowly, running her hands across the muscles of Lisa's chest and moving lower until she reached the waistband of her briefs.
"Oh." she said, looking up at Lisa with widened eyes. "Not just friends, then."
Lisa rolled onto her side and bit Jennie gently on the shoulder. "No."
"This feels more to me like 'close friends.'" Jennie said seriously.
"No Jennie. Not close friends."
"Close personal friends?"
"I don't know." Lisa replied. "Does this feel personal to you?"
Lisa's mouth was roving now, trailing kisses along Jennie's shoulder and neck, and then moving back to her mouth.
"We better alert the media," Jennie said against Lisa's lips. She started groping blindly around the bedside table as Lisa worked Jennie's mouth open and kissed her more deeply.
"What are you looking for?" Lisa gasped after a moment.
"Bat phone." Jennie said. "Which one is the bat phone?"
Lisa let out a laugh and pulled Jennie's arm away from the table, rolling her to the other side of the bed and bracing herself above Jennie with her elbows. "You don't need the bat phone." Lisa growled, lowering herself to kiss Jennie again.
"Mmmmm..." Jennie said against Lisa's mouth. "Got to confirm the relationship."
"Oh, I'll confirm it for you."
"Lisa!"
"As many times as you want..." Lisa said, covering Jennie's mouth with her own as Jennie arched herself against Lisa. "You just let me know when you start to get the message."
