I love the TV series 'White Collar' with Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay. And I love crime shows that have an entertaining undertone and aren't as dead serious as others. That's why I decided to write this story, partly adapted from the TV show. If you happen to know it, you might notice that I'm borrowing crime plots from the show because I'm bad at coming up with them myself. I'll borrow some conversation with the FBI lingo too ;) The rest of it and the parts with the Jenlisa lovestory are all mine though, obviously ;)))
I hope you'll like it! <3*
"Let's see it!" The brunette FBI agent in her girlpower suit demanded, smirking a little behind her Chanel sunglasses when she watched Lisa Manoban, convicted bond forger and art thief, walk through the metal prison gates.
Lisa lifted the hem of her long pants, pointing her foot slightly forward. Fastened around her slim ankle was a state of the art government tracking anklet. It was black and flashed a subtle green light on the side of it, indicating that it was activated.
"You know Agent Kim, usually I go out with a woman a couple of times before I let her put expensive jewellery on me. But I'll make an exception for you." Lisa joked and winked with a shit eating grin. Her eyes flew over the agent's appearance real quick but Jennie definitely caught her. She didn't mind too much though. Jennie was aware of the charm that Lisa Manoban exuded from every single pore. She was a charmer. A sweet-talker. A skilled con-artist.
Jennie Kim just rolled her eyes. "And here I thought it was the other way around!" She sassed back immediately as Lisa came closer. "You are the art thief here, don't you have a couple of rare pieces somewhere in a vault to put on your women? Tell me, where are the pink venom diamonds that you stole?"
"Allegedly stole..." The tall blonde corrected the agent with a confident smile and a sparkle in her eyes that told so much more than her words and stopped right in front of Jennie.
"Right... whatever..." Jennie raised her brows at Lisa before she turned to the prison guard who escorted Lisa out.
"Thanks, I'll take her from here."
He just nodded. "Guess she's the bureau's problem now. See ya Manoban!"
"You won't" Lisa flashed him a grin. The guard just shook his head and retreated.
Jennie surpressed another eyeroll and took Lisa by the elbow to escort her into her parked shiny black Mercedes.
Lisa was indeed Jennie's problem now.
Jennie's boss, Agent Gong Yoo made a deal with Lisa to take time off her sentence if she consulted on a case the FBI was on close to two years now.
Jennie was the leading case agent and since she was also the one who had caught and arrested Lisa for bond forgery, Lisa was released into Jennie's custody. For now.
The cunning art thief was permitted out of prison for the duration of the case, in hopes of solving it with her expert first hand experience in the field of forgery and art crime.
Jennie had been chasing Lisa for three years before she finally caught her. It had been a big day for Jennie's carreer and she finally got the respect and the recognition within the bureau that she had worked so hard for. While for Lisa, that rainy day in October had been the absolute low point in her young life.
Not only had her fence contact scammed her and ran with the money, but also her then-girlfriend Chaeyoung had left Lisa and tipped the feds off about her whereabouts.
That's when Jennie and her team found her, busting into her safehouse and arresting a not-so-sober Lisa.
She had known they were coming for her but after a cat and mouse chase that lasted for almost three years and was fun and exciting at the beginning but turned exhausting in the end, Lisa didn't bother running again. She gave herself up. The heartbreak and betrayal of her girlfriend being the final nail in her coffin.
