Jennie had been told to 'take a day or two' by Gong Yoo after the happenings at the Gala. According to the head of the division, Jennie had been in actual life threatening danger far too many times in the last six months, so he urged her to take some time off.

The bureau even had counselors for agents to take care of their mental health and to work through their more scarring experiences. Jennie however, was very reluctant to take either, so her boss ultimately teamed up with agent Jisoo Kim to force her.

Best friend power combined with boss power was a combination Jennie couldn't really fight.

So, the agent had relented and talked to the therapist about the things she had experienced lately. But more than anything, she realized that it wasn't the therapist she wanted to talk to. It was the person she had gone through all those highs and lows with. Usually that person was Jisoo. But in this case, it wasn't. It was Lisa.

The CI had also been advised to take time off. At least until Jennie was back as well. Meanwhile Jisoo and Haein were stuck with the case paperwork. Which they weren't too happy about. Jennie knew how much Jisoo hated paperwork. On her first day off after arresting Cho, Jennie had received multiple selfies from Jisoo, posing unhappily and sometimes downright angrily in front of her laptop.

Jennie found them hilarious and forwarded each and every one of them to Rosie. Jennie was just on her way home when she got another text from Jisoo telling her she missed her at the bureau. Jennie had opted to actually walk a couple of blocks because the weather was nice and the agent felt like at least getting her steps in on her day off.

It was late afternoon, nearing evening and somehow Jennie did not feel like going home to her lonely apartment. Usually the young woman didn't mind being alone too much. It was peaceful and Jennie treasured being alone with her thoughts. To work through things. Yet, this evening, she wasn't feeling it.

She knew she was still within Lisa's two-mile radius, so she swiftly pulled out her phone without thinking about it too much. Lisa's contact was one of her go-to's, so it didn't take her long to press call. Jennie felt bold doing it. Calling her CI on their day off. This definitely wasn't a work call. It was a social call. And while the dark-haired woman would have refrained from actually giving in to this notion a month ago, she didn't really care now.

Aside from being her CI and the woman she put into jail, Lisa had become Jennie's friend. A loyal one at that. One that would quite literally breath the life back into Jennie. The agent blushed at just thinking about the moment she had opened her eyes only to find Lisa's face hovering so close above hers worriedly.

"Jennie? To what do I owe this pleasure? Are you already sick of your freetime?" Lisa's chipper voice rang through Jennie's receiver and instantly painted a soft smile onto the agent's full lips.

"I'm in your area. Meet me for a walk in the park?"

"If the walk takes us to a Gimbap stand at some point, I'm in."

So Jennie waited about ten minutes for Lisa on a bench near the entrance to the park trying not to think about all the moments she and Lisa have already had that Jennie didn't know how to feel about.

"So, you're in my area." Lisa's mischievious voice made Jennie jump. She had been lost in thought for a second there while waiting.

"Hm?" She looked up into hypnotizing doe eyes.

"That's a pick-up line I haven't heard before." Lisa smirked down at the agent.

Jennie felt her cheeks flush, yet she hoped it wasn't as visible as she was feeling it. "Not a pick-up line." She rolled her eyes at Lisa, trying not to give away how much her teasing affected her. It wasn't any different from the meaningless flirty banter Lisa had thrown at her from the very beginning, yet now Jennie couldn't seem to shake it so easily anymore.
