"We got him." Jisoo exclaimed proudly, showing Jennie surveillance tape after surveillance tape showing their new top-of-the-list-suspect.
"Kang Chan-yeol. Been sitting on him for two days. They were going to every high-end gallery in Seoul offering the Hiroshi painting."
"Who's the mountain?" Jennie asked, looking at the huge burly man always walking one step behind Kang.
"Jo. His muscle. Ex-military. Must have been the one who stole the painting, considering the shiner on his cheek." Jisoo snickered because Lisa had told her that Irene scored a hit on the guy who broke in. It had evolved into a nice big bruise on top of his cheekbone.
"She got him good."
Jennie rolled her eyes at that. "Good girl. That's what Lisa said." Her tone was borderline mocking.
Jisoo perked up at that, looking away from the tapes and to her friend. "Yeah, she seemed... a little taken with our witness, didn't she?" Jisoo tapped into whatever this was, waiting for Jennie to react.
"She's not.. taken... with Irene... she just.... argh... she just flirts all the time..."
"She flirts with you too all the time." Jisoo raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms.
"What? No! Those are just silly comments. She's just like that. She can't turn it off..." Jennie deterred but Jisoo noticed the slightest tint of pink on her friend's dumpling cheeks.
"So you like it when it's directed your way but you find it annoying when she turns it on other women?" Jisoo cornered Jennie now.
"No! I just mean... I mean... it's the job. She's not being professional... it's... yeah... annoying sometimes..."
"Was this the first time that Lisa flirted with someone else that wasn't you?"
Jennie rounded in on Jisoo with viscious eyes and Jisoo backed off a little but she still chuckled knowingly.
"What are you saying Chu?" She wasn't really asking, she was threatening Jisoo to better keep her mouth shut about any stupid theories she might have.
Jisoo had been on Jennie's tail for quite some time now about how she thought the brunette should try dating a woman for once. Obviously knowing about Jennie's bisexuality. Jisoo really thought that the right woman could be a real game changer in Jennie's everlasting single life.
She had just never had anyone good in mind for Jennie within her own circle of friends. But then Lisa showed up and Jisoo's antennas began tingling.
"Nothing. I'm saying nothing, my irritated little Mandu." Jisoo gave in to Jennie. For now.
"So, who are we dealing with?" Jennie nodded back to the screens, wanting to know everything there was to know about Kang Chan-yeol.
After that Jennie and her agents fabricated a plan.
*
"Everyone, meet Jeon Somi." Jisoo introduced a tall blonde woman with unworldy gorgeous features. "She's a buyer at the Kumho Museum of Art. She agreed to help us on this case."
Every agent around the room nodded at Somi. Jennie's eyes darkened when she saw how obviously Lisa was checking the woman out.
"I convinced Kang that I had a wealthy client who is very interested in the painting." Somi spoke up and met Lisa's eyes of all people.
Jennie and Jisoo's plan involved Lisa going undercover alongside Somi on this set-up but that was before Jennie knew how gorgeous Somi was. And the subtle glint in Somi's eyes told her that she wasn't immune to Lisa's natural charms either. Great.
