Friday came and the teams were ready. Jennie, Jisoo and Haein were cramped in the surveillance van while various teams of agents claimed their posts in and around the Gala that Lisa and Diana were going to attend.
Lisa was once more tracking anklet free but had a GPS transmitter in her phone that wouldn't be detected so easily. Diana's driver had picked her up and they were now sitting cosily in the back of a black limo together.
"Sorry for making you wait. I had a shoe emergency." Diana laughed as carefree as Lisa hadn't ever seen her before. She leaned in for a kiss that Lisa couldn't possibly deny. So their lips met in a soft little peck.
"It's alright. You look amazing. Shoes and everything." Lisa complimented with a generous look over Diana's appeareance. She meant it. Diana looked stunning in her long black cocktail dress with her hair up in an elegant swirl and long sparkly earrings dangling from her earlobes. A diamond necklace highlighting her modest cleavage.
"You look rather dashing too. Or handsome. Can I say handsome to a woman?" Diana giggled shyly while Lisa played with her fingers flirtily. The con-woman was wearing black dress pants, a white blouse tucked into them with a dark blue blazer jacket. A coin necklace on her neck and a couple of rings on her fingers. She opted for pants instead of a dress in case she had to do some running today. A dress wasn't very convenient for running.
"I'll take the compliment." Lisa smiled at her, taking one of Diana's hands up to softly kiss the back of it. The other woman beamed at Lisa for a second before she adressed her driver.
"Tony how are we doing for time? Are we going to be fashionably late because of me?"
The man named Tony, lifted his right hand to look at his watch. "I think we're doing quite alright, Mrs Flipo."
The watch caught Lisa's attention immediately. Because it wasn't just any watch. It was an exlusive edition of the brand new Rolex collection that just launched a couple of days ago. Lisa knew Diana had money and she was sure her staff was being paid very handsomely but she was also sure that Diana didn't pay them that much money to be able to afford a watch of this calibre at a whim.
"is that the new Falcon 20?" Lisa spoke up and Tony's eyes met hers in the rearview. He nodded with a simple "Mhm".
"I've been put on the waiting list because it's already sold out everywhere. I'm considering not even getting it. Or do you think it's worth it Tony?" Her undertone suddenly went dark. Lisa had a terrible suspicion.
"I think so." Tony just replied with another look at Lisa through the mirror.
Tony could not afford this watch on his own. It was a pay-off. It had to be! Fuck! Lisa's mind was running but there was only one explanation. She turned towards Diana.
"Do you think a watch like that would suit me?"
Warm hazel eyes looked at her. "It's too masculine for you, I don't think it would suit you."
"But you don't really know me, do you?" Lisa's tone had changed. On purpose. The charm was gone and the cunning came out.
"Well we are just getting to know each other, so..." Diana started but Lisa made her stop.
"Why do you think we met?" Lisa interjected promptly.
"I don't know... right place at the right time, I thought we said that-"
"That's right. Saving you was the perfect in for me."
"In? Lily, what are you talking about?" Diana seemed genuinely confused now and Lisa felt really bad about what she was about to do.
