When Jennie came back to work the next week, she immediately threw herself into the case Gong Yoo had bestowed upon Jisoo just that morning.

Insurance Fraud. Which didn't sound very exciting but in this case, it was. A big shot investment mogul had suspiciously died on a diving trip, leaving behind his significantly younger widow who would soon be 65 billion Won richer.

The death's circumstances rang some alarm bells within the life insurance company, who hired the FBI to look into it.

Which was exactly why Jisoo and Jennie were seated in Jisoo's FBI car at the side of the road, keeping an eye on the on-going funeral some distance away. They had to stay low-key since Mr. Flipo's unexpected death had garnered a lot of media attention.

Not to mention the rumours that were going around that his young wife Diana was allegedly the one who killed him for the money. Diana Flipo was publicly known, not only as Mr. Flipo's wife, but also as a philanthropist within Seoul's high society. The press knew her very well and usually loved her. She was pretty and nobody really ever understood why she married Mr. Flipo, who had been about twice her age. Now, everybody and their dog was running their mouths about her being a social climbing, husband murderer.

Jennie was glad for the instant distraction. She had been killing herself all week to forget what happened on Lisa's balcony. She had dreaded to come back to work but she also couldn't stand to stay at home any longer. She had dodged every one of Lisa's calls since then and had only texted back when the con-woman worried about her well-being.

A generic 'I'm fine' was all Lisa had gotten. But Jennie wasn't fine. Far from it. That kiss had derailed her entire being. Jennie's head was swimming and she felt dizzy everytime she let herself think about Lisa too much.

Why had she let Lisa kiss her? Or better: why had she been the one to basically initiate it? They had alcohol that night. And they had been talking about pretty heavy stuff. A part of Jennie hoped she could just put the kiss down to their full immunity agreement. It was done and now they could forget about it. Just like Jennie had to let everything slide Lisa had told her that night. She had to let slide that the Pink Venom Diamonds were somewhere in Taiwan. It was the last confession Lisa had given, before Jennie had bolted. However, the diamonds were the least of Jennie's problems now.

"Earth to Jendeuk?" Jisoo waved her hand in front of Jennie's binoculars. Her eyes had followed Diana Flipo but her mind hadn't.

"Give me that." And Jisoo yanked them out of Jennie's grip to get a better look herself. "Why don't we have two of these things?" She muttered to herself after she pressed them to her eyes. "We are the fucking FBI, we should have two pairs of binoculars in the car..."

"It's your car... you should have packed two." Jennie grumbled back.

Jisoo put the binoculars back down to stare at Jennie. "Why didn't you bring yours?"

"They're in my car..."

"You see the problem here, don't you?" Jisoo cackled and went back to spying on the grieving widow.

"You seem distracted Jendeuk." She stated without taking her eyes off their target. "I thought the time off would be good for you but somehow you seem more rattled than before."

Jisoo had always had good observation skills. It was why she was a good agent. Jennie hated that right now. Could she tell Jisoo about the kiss and that she was dreading to see Lisa again? Jennie knew what her friend would say. She'd congratulate her and tell her to tap that ass or something inappropriate. But Jisoo wouldn't think about the repercussions of kissing a colleague. Or in Jennie's case, her subordinate. Technically, on paper, Jennie was Lisa's boss. It was wildly inappropriate.
