Maybe I'm not

Larry woke up around 11 in the morning, checking his phone and remembering he had a date with his girlfriend, Karen. He reluctantly got up and went to his bedroom to get clothes. He changed, and made some cereal. Then he heard the whimsical music again. "goddamnit Steve" Larry muttered, closing his eyes. After finishing his breakfast, he left to go buy flowers for Karen. It was his day off, a day he got once every couple of months from all his jobs. He never paid attention to who covered for him, as he practically worked every job in elmore. He walked down the streets of elmore, toward the mall. He passed elmore junior high, where Steve said he worked. From a window, he heard Steve talking to kids, and then what sounded like gumball making a remark about his pony tail. Larry laughed to himself as he kept walking. Steve's ponytail did look funny sometimes. "it is kinda cute too though" Larry thought to himself, before stopping in his tracks. He thought another man was cute? That couldn't be right. Larry was sure he was straight, although he had no issue with the LGBTQ as they made up most of elmore, even his girlfriend was bisexual. His girlfriend. He couldn't be thinking another person was attractive, much less a man, while he was in a relationship. He kept walking, shaking his head. He did start thinking about his childhood crushes while he walked, though. He remembered imagining playing a princess in a play while one of his male friends played a prince that he fell in love with. He then remembered being in middle school and thinking a male singer was attractive. He then remembered in high school when he had fantasies about meeting the love of his life, and them not making a specific gender. "holy shit" Larry thought to himself. "maybe I'm not straight"

FIVE HOURS LATER

Larry nervously walked up to the restaurant he was supposed to meet Karen in. He stepped in, and looked around. "shes not here yet?" Larry thought to himself, anxiety starting to stir. "shes never late". He walked up to a waiter to ask if she had come in, maybe in the bathroom. "Sorry, i haven't seen a chick like that here since this morning" Larry's eyes suddenly went wide. "this morning?" Larry asked, nervously. "yeah, she came in with some girl. They looked pretty romantic" the waiter said, clearly not piecing together that Larry was Karens boyfriend. "Laurence!" Karen called from behind him. "So sorry im late. Traffic was such a pain. Have you found a seat for us yet?" she asked, looking innocent. "its over" Larry said, holding back tears, holding his fists tight. "what?" Karen asked, her voice sounding concerned and nervous. "you heard me, cheating bitch." Larry said, walking out of the restaurant. "OOOOOOH THAT WAS YOUR BOYFRIEND" the waiter finally realized.
