POV: Lex

While Noah and Corbin are cooking Devin food. We all go hunting.

Well except for Isaac who for some reason hasn't been here for last couple of weeks.

And Jerry who is still painting the floor red with his dead body in the Echo cave.

Who ever dies in the echo cave will never be found. Nobody dares to go into the darkness. It's too deep and nobody has ever been there as far as I know.

We walk towards the Mermaids lake but I can feel their eyes watching me.
Suddenly Connor stops pretending nothing happened and turns to me.

He suddenly snaps "why the hell did you stick up for that guy?!"

Looking around me I notice everyone is wondering the same thing.

I know what I have to do now.

I smirk and say "guys, It's all part of my plan"

Jayce starts to laugh "I knew it! I knew you wouldn't turn your back on us!"

Connor smacks the back of Jayce head as he says "let the man speak"

"You all wanted to destroy him right? Ruin him? Make his destiny worse than death?"

They all nod.

"Well, what the worst way to hurt someone?"

"Hm" Jayce thinks "eating them alive than throwing their remains in hot lava"

I chuckle "I like how you are thinking but you are wrong. It's love"

"Oh" asher says "you son of a bitch, was this all an act?!"

Jayce starts laughing "you are a legend!"

Connor chuckles "I have to say I'm impressed"

I sigh "I had to win his trust, slow steps and giving him back access to this camp was the last step. Now I have gained his trust we have unlimited possibilities."

Connor says "I'm glad you are still on our side, man. We all thought we lost you for a moment"

I lay my hand on Connor his shoulder "never, you all know me. Don't doubt me again"

Connor grins. good I have won him over.

I sit back as I watch them come up with what to do next for the plan I created.

If you told me a week ago that I was gonna do this than I would have said you were crazy.

But idk I have actually start to like Devin. He doesn't deserve any of this.

Okay maybe there is something wrong with him because he likes guys but that doesn't make him deserve death?

But He also saved me from Jerry.
So now it's my turn to save him from my friends. I can't let them kill him.

Even if that means betraying my own friends.

I owe him one.
