The Discovery Of Neverland

Chapter 7

POV: Isaac

We have been walking for hours now. Turns out where ever this pirate had kidnapped Devin it was not as close as I hoped it would be.

My feets started to hurt, I'm not used to walking this much.

All the boys looked exhausted. Peter notices this too. But he doesn't seem to care.

A few hours later we reach the end of island.
At first sight you wouldn't see anything but far into the ocean you see a ship laying in the middle of nowhere.

I really hope this doesn't mean we are gonna have to swim.

Peter yells that we are at the destination and everyone can sit down. Everyone seems to be so relieved they don't have to walk anymore that it looks like they forgot why they were here in the first place.

We all sit in a circle while Peter takes charge.

"Asher, Foster, Kade, Connor, Jayce, Gavin and Corbin are going to surround the ship and fight who ever is on their path.

"Harold, Lawrence, Leroy, Ravi, Tucker, Noah, Wendy and Milo are staying here on the look out"

"Lex, Felix, Isaac and me are going to get Devin free"

"Does everyone know what to do?"

Peter looks around the circle but nobody speaks up. He than says with a smile "let's free Devin".

Turns out we do have to swim. Not much later we are all in the water swimming towards the boat.

It feels like we have been swimming for a century. When we reach the boat the fighters end up giving the pirates an ambush they didn't see coming.

We swim to the other side while we help each other get into the boat.

When we get into the boat we immediately see the cages, almost all empty.
We found Devin pretty fast. But he wasn't alone. Looking at the others their faces they know who he is.

Devin whines "Please get us out of here!"

Devin seems to wanna say more but when he sees Peter he immediately closes his mouth.
Meanwhile Peter and the guy make intense eye contact.

"Hey Pan, long time no see".

Peter freezes for a second but he quickly pulls himself together and says 

"hey Jerry, we thought you were dead".

As I unlock the cage with my paper clip Lex walks up to Jerry and gives him a hug.
"I have missed you, man"

"I missed you too dude"

I watch jerry pushing Lex away as a sign that the hug is over.
Jerry laughs and says "don't be such a pussy, you never thought I actually died right?"

"Oh no, of course not. The Jerry I know never died" Lex says smiling.

"I have been in this boat for too fucking long let's get the hell out of here!" Jerry yells while making his way off the boat.

Everyone follows Jerry off the boat.

The moment we get on land everything turns into chaos. Turns out everyone knows who Jerry was.

When Wendy notices Jerry she screams so loud it's a miracle the pirates hasn't heard her.
Everyone looks at her.

She runs up to Jerry and jumps in his arms while crying she says "I thought you were dead.."

Jerry kisses her and says "yeah I have heard that was the rumor. Those pirates kept me locked up for months"

Everyone looks at Peter. Everyone knew how much he loves Wendy.

I walk to Peter. "Hey, are you okay?"

He sigh while sitting down on the sand.
"Well not really, I loved her a lot but it seems like she didn't love me that much"

I sit next to him.
"I'm sorry, it sucks losing someone you love"

"Jerry is my best friend. Before he was gone he was dating Wendy. I can't be mad at him or her because she never stopped loving him"

I smile "you set a good example for the others"

He smiles "thanks, I needed to hear that"

he walks away from me and makes an announcement.

"We saved Devin! But he isn't the only who we helped escape. Some of you don't know him but Jerry used to be one of us And now he is back! Sadly some of us didn't survive the battle. In honor of  Kade and Gavin we will celebrate today. As a victory and we will remember them forever!"

Everyone starts to cheer as we walk back to the camp.
