Chapter 28

POV: Felix

I walk into Peters place. I knock.

"Who is it?" He yells.

I say "Felix, we have a problem"

He rolls his eyes as I watch him sharpen his blade. "What's the problem this time?"

"Jerry is dead"

He starts to laugh. "You call that a problem? That's an solution. I should say thank you to who ever did it."

I hesitate but say.
"Peter, they know you told Devin to kill Jerry".

He seems to not be surprised, I don't get it.
I sit next to him on a chair.
"Honestly I never understood why you wanted him dead to begin with."

Peter raises his eyebrow "he wanted to kill me and become king, you know that"

I shake my head "that's not it" I look at Peter and say
"He has always been jealous of you but you never cared. Now something changed these past years. What is it?"

He holds his head in his hands. "Jerry used the fact I have had romantic interests for others on this island against me"

My eyes widen and I hesitatingly say "but there has never been a different girl besides wendy on this island"

"Exactly" Peter says as he avoids eye contact.

I didn't think Peter would keep secrets from me. I don't get why he was afraid to tell me this to begin with.

I look at Peter who hasn't made eye contact since. I say "You shouldn't hide who you are. kill who ever doesn't accept you. You are the king. You can do what you want.

I can see his sadness disappear in his eyes. He smiles at me and says "Felix, thank you. You are completely right."

I smile back at him. I hope i didn't cause him to go literally on a murder spree by ending anyone their life who isn't okay with it.

"You have to fix another problem"

He grunts and says "it can't get much worse than this"

I say "well, Lex brought Devin back and he is convincing others not to kill him.

His eyes widen "you are joking right?"

"I wish"

With that being said Peter walks outside.
I follow him. He might need back up for this one.

Peter makes his way to the group of people who have surrounded Lex and Devin.

I watch the whole group go silent the moment Peter arrives.

Peter makes his present clear by yelling
"What the hell is going on?!"

Lex who is clearly mad walks up to Peter. Nearly challenging him to take a step back while saying "the one who truely caused a murder to happen was you, not Devin. He was forced"

I watch Peter turn pale but he quickly gets himself under control.
"That's true"

All the lost boys start to whisper because of his surprisingly confession.

"Hear me out" Peter commands. "We all hated Jerry, am I right?"

I notice almost everyone agreeing with him, the only one that doesn't is Lex who seems to be shocked by the hatred around him.

"So" peter sigh "I set up Devin for the task to kill Jerry who accidentally killed the wrong person."

Suddenly Peter walks up to Devin who nervously clings into Lex. But Peter pushes Lex out of his sight.

Peter grabs Devin harshly while saying loudly so everyone can hear it.
"Are you the one that killed Jerry today?"

Devin nods as the whispering of the others start again.

"Silence!" Peter yells.

"Devin solved our problem by in the end still
Killing the right person" Peter smiles as he says
"Welcome back"

Everyone is shocked by Peters approval to let Devin stay alive. Even I am to be honest.

"But-" Connor says

Peter ignores him, instead says
"Anyone who is not okay with how things go, feel free to complain to me personally."

Everyone seems to be okay with it, except the friends of Jerry.

Peter walks away, towards me while he sighs
"Being a leader sucks sometimes"

I chuckle "don't lie to me, I know you love it"

He laughs "yeah you are right, I do"
