POV: Isaac

Fucking hell.
I groan as I get myself out of peters bed.
I assumed he would have been back by now.
But it has been hours.

I get myself ready and walk out of the cabin.
I don't make it far because Corbin stops me.

"Hey, are you coming hunting?"

I hesitate. But it's not like I have other things to do. Who knows how long Peter stays away.

"Sure"

I follow Connor to the others.
Jayce, Asher and foster had been waiting already.

I daringly raise my eyebrow as I ask
"No Lex?"

Receiving 8 angry eyes back to me.
"Of course not"
"He betrayed us"

I realize there is no way to argue with them.
Not like I would want to either way.
It's like Corbin said one night at the campfire.
The only way to survive is to keep quiet.
Even tho I hadn't expect it to be this literally but I'm thankful for the advice.

"Oh" I sigh "I get it"

Connor doubtfully ends up giving me a trusting nod.
Maybe a bit forced but I take it.

We make our way into the woods.
As we walk to the lake I see Jayce looking around confused.
"Hey, where is Corbin? Shouldn't have we invited him to?"

Everyone stands still for a second, coming to the realization everyone forgot about his existence.

"Actually" foster says "I haven't seen him anymore since the morning before the execution."

Connor shakes his head. "It doesn't mean anything tho. He could just still be asleep in his cabin."

"I can assure you he isn't"

We all turn around and come face to face with Peter.
Having Corbin by his side.

He clears his voice as he speaks loudly
"I need all of you to follow me back to the camp. I have something urgent to discuss which can't wait until after the hunting"

Everyone seems to be visually annoyed but nobody says anything about it. Nobody wants to argue with Peter.

We all walk back to the camp in silence

I try to catch Corbin's attention. To ask him why he was gone. But he isn't paying attention.
He is lost in his thoughts.

I'm sure it's nothing.
But the idea of having Corbin and Peter not telling me things hurts.

Whatever Peter is going to say around the camp fire it better be damn important.
