Maki's pov

Well, that was a fun day... I don't think I ever thought of a day like this before. Never in my life, I would imagine I would even be able to have that much fun, but Y/N was able to make a dream come true today.

When I first met Y/N I thought of them as a good person that ended up in a terrible situation, but after all, I learned about them I had to make sure they were ok. When I saved Y/N from Matilda I finally protected someone I cared about. I let so many of my friends die, but this time I was able to save someone...

"Hey Maki, whatcha thinking about?" Y/N asked.

"O-oh... um, n-nothing much."

"Maki I know when you stutter you are lying about something. Spill the beans already."

Damn, they are really good at that, aren't they?

"Ugh fine... I was just reflecting on everything we have been through so far, and I was wondering why everything ended up the way it did." I said to Y/N as I tucked myself under the covers.

"Oh yeah... You single-handedly prevented my death on more than one occasion." Y/N responded, but in a way, they saved me too.

They saved me from a terrible life of having to kill for one of the most corrupt clans on planet earth. If it wasn't for them I would be out on the streets looking for my next target... I wouldn't have had all that fun, and most importantly I wouldn't have fallen in love again...

That is when it hit me. I still didn't talk to him. 

"Excuse me Y/N... I need to do something..." I said to them, and without another word I left the room.

Y/N's balcony was done being remodeled so it was the perfect space to talk to him. I know he was looking down on me from the stars, and I wanted to make sure... Make sure that it was okay to move on.. 

"Kaito... I know the last time you saw me I was a wreck and a half... We were still in the killing game and I professed my love for you... I meant every word I said to you back then and I still do, but I still have to move on..." I muttered, and that is when tears started to stream down my cheek.

"You have been gone for almost five years, and I know it is kind of sad you can't say anything back to me. I just want a sign... A sign that you are ready for me to move on. I love Y/N with all of my heart, and in a way, they remind me of you. They are always one step ahead of me, and they make me feel like the h-happiest girl alive..." I stammered.

"So if you are ready just give me a sign... It could be anything. Like a wink from the stars, maybe a-"

That is when I felt two arms around me, and it was Y/N. 

Wait... They were wearing Kaito's jacket, and it- it fits perfectly...

"I know you miss him Maki, but if he could speak to you I know Kaito would let you move on." Y/N explained, and in a way, you could tell Kaito was ready for you to move on...

Y/N wrapped you in his coat, and you could feel his presence here. You know it was time to move on, and you got Kaito's word... Thank you, Kaito...

"Y/N... I never want this feeling to end..."

"Well, it never will..."
