"Y/N did you really think that this was how things were going to go down? That Maki would let you go with a simple scratch on your neck? That was never the plan. You should have died that night." You heard someone behind you explain, and when you turned around you found the intruder in your home.

This girl was scary, and every word that came out of her mouth left an impact on your mind. Like the words were magnets slowly pulling me into a darker space, or worse an even darker doom.

The woman appeared older but more sophisticated than anyone I had ever seen before. She was wearing lots of expensive jewelry, and to be honest she looked more ready to go to a ball compared to destroying someone's apartment! She has black hair that was dyed red at the tips, and she wasn't shy to apply an extra ton of makeup or two.

"What the hell did you do!? What are you talking about!" I exclaimed at her explanation.

"I'm simply here to finish what was started a few days ago. Sadly Maki didn't do what she was told, so the professionals had to step in." She remarked with a serious and bewitching attitude.

It was like she practiced her entire speech thousands of times to get ready for this! The fear you felt was indescribable, and all you wanted to do was break free of these ropes and run to the other side of the country!

To make things worse it didn't seem like she wanted to talk because she had a long golden katana in her hands, and I had a feeling about what she intended to do with it.

"Can you at least tell me why you sent Maki after me, and why I have to die like this!"

"Because you are going to get in the way in one way or another, and I am just setting my group up for a brighter future if you get what I mean." She carelessly responded.

Her group? Is this the group Maki mentioned to me before? Is it the group's fault that this has to happen? What does it even have to do with me? I'm only a lawyer and I can't get involved with anything unless there is a court case in the making! Who do they think I am? Someone that can easily spot out an assassin group or whatever they are telepathically or what? They most likely have a secret hideout somewhere.

"You can't do this to me. I have a family that loves and cares about me! I have clients that need my help to get justice, and I have-"

"Be quiet you!" She shouted as she put the blade up to my neck.

At the simple flick of a blade, my life could be over. All the memories I made, all the bonds I created, and everything I did up to this point in my life could all add up to this.

"Your lucky that I'm in a good mood today because trust me if it was up to me I would throw you right off this building after beating you half to death, but hey I don't want to see brains all over the place today. Consider yourself lucky you won't be around to see that part..." She described and as she talked you couldn't understand why so many poor people would have to fall victim to fates like that.

I always thought that there was faith in the human race and that everyone had good inside them somewhere even if they didn't really show it that much. However, in this instance, this lady has nothing but evil and a lust for murder in her skin. As she spoke your horror for her deepened, and that fear and hatred made you want to fight back. However, the moment she saw you even flinch she noticed and now she was the katana against your throat. It was getting difficult to breathe, and once again you were bleeding out.

"Do you like that? Do you want me to end you already? I had a whole speech planned! You can at least tell me where I went wrong! Huh? Speak up!"

If anyone could save me from this woman it would probably be impossible, and I honestly thought I was going to die right there. Yet there was still someone with good in her that could save me. Someone who took up this daunting task probably saved the human race that day. I may have lost my faith in humanity, but she didn't despite all she had been through.

Nonetheless, I still thought it was the end for me, and I could start seeing stars, and my vision was fading out. One moment I saw the roots of the eyes of the evil woman who was about to take my life as I watched. To this day I have never met someone with so much turmoil and nocuous as she did.

I was about to die, but the reason I am still here today is because of her.
