*THE MORNING AFTER SHAWN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY.*
Abigail P.O.V
"You love to watch the fireworks, huh?" I shout over a loud explosion as I walk onto the rooftop, where Winda is relaxing and waiting for me.
"How many times do I have to remind you? They're not fireworks, baby. It's the sorcerers practicing their magic." she says as she gets up from the blanketed ground.
"Always once more, my love." I breathe out. She grabs me and kisses me passionately while we sway side to side. Soon, the sound of another explosion bursts into the sky, creating a purple screen of smoke.
"How did your phone call go with your brother? I thought it would take a while since you and your brother haven't talked."
"Me too. I'm surprised Angel called me first since he's always complaining about me being overbearing. But he didn't say much. He's watching the sunrise right now. Also, he just wanted to say good morning. Although, he sounded a little skittish when he hung up the phone." I explain as I walk to the hammock. I wait for Winda to lay in it before I lay on top of her. We cuddle close together as we continue to talk.
My move to the North District occurred around the time Angel moved out on his own. I now live with Winda and her mother.
The last time I saw Angel was when he invited us to the pool with Alpha Cena, Luna, and their pup, Elijah. I haven't heard from him since that day. Last I heard, he told me that he was looking for a job so that he could provide for himself. I feel guilty because I told him I would look after him, but I've been too busy to keep in touch lately. Although, even if I did, he would remind me that he doesn't need me watching over him every day.
"I'll visit him later this week," I state as we sway back and forward.
"Maybe he's lonely?" Winda questions. I chuckle before saying,
"Angel doesn't get lonely. He loves peace and quiet, especially outside in the woods."
"Hm." Winda hums in understanding.
"I don't know. Maybe I should get Angel a dog." I state out of nowhere. Winda laughs out loud, which causes me to smile.
"You don't think so? They say a dog is a man's best friend." I add.
"I know you well enough to see that you wouldn't give that puppy up once you've got your hands on it. No." Winda says, which causes me to tick.
"You barely let go of the pups at the pack house after their training." she continues to say while rubbing my back.
"Well, if you give me pups, that wouldn't be an issue." I snarl back at her.
"This again? We're not having kids now." Wind states as she rubs my back in a soothing motion. I grimace at her response and fall silent for a while.
"Do you not want to have kids and watch them grow? Don't you want a family?" I start up.
"Wait, baby, we have not even married." Winda gets out.
"We can do that later. Just think about how cute our pups will be and the joy we'll give them. The unconditional love we can show them. Just like the families I see every day. Oh, the family we can create, my love. Don't you want that?" I explain wholeheartedly. I could feel Asena jumping around in excitement with every word I spoke.
Winda sighs as she softly plasters a smile on her beautiful face. She grabs my hand and then places it on her bare chest underneath the collar of her shirt. I could feel her heartbeat against my hand. I savor the way it was in sync with mine. But I automatically know what she is going to say next.
