*PLEASE READ*
The MC, Angel, does not know anything about deaf people and what they can and cannot do or how people can become deaf. Everything Angel says is not meant to offend the other person. PLEASE keep this in mind as you read this chapter; although the way he speaks and responds is part of how he is.

I sincerely apologize is advance if anything in this chapter offends anyone in anyway.

"Deaf or not, that's no excuse to be following someone around a library." I replied.

"I never said it was." He defended.

Me and my stalker stared at each other for longer than I really wanted to. He crossed his arms and leaned against the bookshelf never taking his eyes off me.

"You never answered my question." I said breaking the awkward silence.

"If you're referring to you talking into the book earlier, I couldn't see what you were saying."

I didn't understand what he meant by seeing what I was saying but I repeated my question and more.

"Why are you following me around? And why do I have to look at you while talking, I'm sure looking at you doesn't help you hear better? Who the hell are you?" I interrogated.

"Ouch. You said all that?" He says while pushing himself off the bookshelf and rising his eyebrows.

"Well since you've asked so nicely..." My stalker then suddenly rises from the ground, dropping his hands to the side. He makes his way to me and stops only about three feet away. My eyes widen in awe. He's a warlock. I take a step back instinctively and looked him up and down to see if what I was seeing was really happening.

My stalker is dressed in a white t-shirt knotted on the bottom and a pair of glasses hooked at the collar. He wore a light brown cardigan over with light blue ripped jeans and loafers to match. There seemed to be a circular tattoo on his ankle but I couldn't make out the symbol on it.

"You walked in my library unannounced." He started, grabbing my full attention. He then sits in mid air crossing his legs as if he was sitting on the ground. I look at the ground underneath him that he was hovering over and then back up to him.

"I didn't notice you had walked in until you started walking all over the library. Of course I tailed you to see if you were friend or foe." He explains. He then stopped talking momentarily while he darts around my face picking out my facial features.

"Now, which one are you?" He questions leaning forward as if the outcome of my answer could lead either which way.

"What does foe mean? I asked not understanding the word he chose to describe me.

"Enemy." He states.

"I'm not here to hurt you." I promise.

"Good, friend it is." He says smiling. I relaxed my shoulders thinking I was out of harm's way.

"I'm deaf." He says out of nowhere.

"Yea, you've said that already." I say rolling my eyes. He laughs at my remark.

"I'm just trying to answer your questions, leave the smartassery to yourself if you don't like the answer." He replies smiling while dropping his legs out of his criss-cross position. My stalker then starts to circle around me as if he was inspecting me.

"I can't hear what anyone is saying but I can read people's lips while they are talking. Of course, not every deaf person can do this."

"Why?" I ask curiously.
