Winda Akinyemi (Without the Tats tho)
Shawn P.O.V
I stand next to Abigail as I watch my mate close the door to the Keep quarters behind him. I remind myself that this isn't the last time I'll see him. I remind Mani—who is sulking from not letting him out—that this is not the last time.
I wait until I can't hear the fall of his steps anymore to turn and speak to Abby. "I want in on this plan,"
"Plan?" Abby questions casually.
"That you and the Alpha-douche are—"
She slaps her hand over my mouth with bulging eyes. I feel foolish afterward because, of course, this is something I can not talk about out loud with potential eavesdroppers. I remove her hand and start over.
"I want in," I say quieter but more firmly. She scoffs before walking away. I follow her.
"I'm serious, Abigail. Whatever's going on, I want in,"
"Why? You weren't even interested before so why now? And how can you possibly help from outside the pack when everything is happening inside the pack?"
"My brother,"
She turns around at the car door. "Alpha Cena? What about him?"
I suppress a frustrated sigh because she's not understanding and connecting the dots. "Nearly 15 years ago, The MoonShine pack was a lot like how The Midnight Pack is now. My brother can come here and help. I know he can," I would make him.
Abby glares at me as she thinks but all she says is to get in the car. I don't say anything more when I do.
We take the long dirt road that she claims is less likely to be suspicious and that Azriel would make sure that word of my arrival would not reach the Alpha or Beta.
Abby doesn't speak again until we are off-pack grounds. "You plan to start a war?"
My body freezes. "I beg your pardon?"
"If you invite another Alpha of a pack here, that's exactly what will happen. How do you think that looks, Shawn?"
"He wouldn't be here to do such a thing. We'll have to be smart about it. Just think, we bring him here to talk strategy. Who to look out for on the inside and how to handle them? He got the alliance of a Coven in the end but what will we have?"
"We?"
"Focus Abigail. Instead of open borders, what will you truly gain from this? Because it's not power or strength in numbers. You have no alliance, and most likely will have every alpha either rebel or banished. The omegas will be vulnerable and scared, and the betas will either be indifferent about what to do because of their status or useless. It's even more likely that the Supernatural Board will decrease their funding to the pack if you do this,"
"We know all of this. We've discussed it. What can Alpha Cena possibly suggest that will help if he can't go in the pack either?"
"Actually, I want to talk to both my brother and Azriel,"
"War," She deadpans. I ignore the heavy feeling that word sends through me.
"Bloody hell, I want to suggest a merger between The MoonShine Pack and The Midnight Pack," I say confidently. Abby, not so gracefully, stomps on the brakes. Hard. I jump forward and almost smash my face into the dash.
"Are you mad!? What the HELL did you and my brother talk about!?" she yells.
I widen my eyes and wave my hands. "Wait no, I'm saying this out of order. Angel doesn't know of my ideas,"
