Angel P.O.V

After deplaning our flight, giving thanks to the flight crew along the way, I head to baggage claim to retrieve our luggage. I search the series of screens to find our flight number and city of origin along with the carousel number that our luggage will be on. I grab our things and haul ass to my sister only to find her seated outside of a café, watching TikTok's patiently waiting for me.

"Did you find a place to eat?" I say exhaustingly, getting hangry.

"Yea. There's an Italian restaurant close to the hotel. It's called Giovanni's, it's got good reviews."

"Good, I'm starving, fuck airplane food."

"I second that." Abby says jumping out of her seat to her feet causing her curls on her head to bounce. She takes her bags out of my hand and starts to lead the way out of the airport. Not even a minute later, we were stopped by a deep voice yelling our names from a far. As we both turned trying to find the owner of the voice, we spotted a handsome, tall man with a beautiful, tall woman walking fast towards us.

He had red wavy hair stopping mid-way to his shoulder and enchanting hazel eyes like pools of honey and a large muscular build in which his muscles pierced through his clothing. The woman was a bit smaller and petite yet still taller than me. She walked with such confidence beside him, radiating beauty. They looked like models walking down their runway.

As they drew closer, I could feel the dominance radiating off them, almost making me take a step back and cower in submission. I instantly knew he was alpha and so was the woman next to him.

"Hello. You both must be Angel and Abby Castro-Estrada." He says giving us both a gentle smile. "I'm Cena Powell, Alpha of the Moonshine pack and this is Esmeralda Powell, Luna of the Moonshine pack and my mate." He greets with his expressions softening on the last part.

"Hello, Alpha." "Hello, Luna." Abby and I say immediately while bowing once realizing who was in our presence. I've never bowed down to an Alpha before in my entire life. But doing so out of instinct felt right, like this is where I was supposed to be. Not cowering or submitting. No, Fuck that.

This was by showing immediate trust, respect, and loyalty. I wanted alpha to know that I wanted his immediate trust and I wanted him to know that I was ready to pledge myself to him and my life to the pack; for him to know that this is where I wanted to be. I've never met the Alpha from my previous pack. My father never introduced me to him, fearing that I would bring shame upon our family and burden our family name. I've seen the alpha of The Midnight pack only a couple times but those were the times from when I was granted to leave the house.

"Wait..." I whisper under my breath once fully grasping the predicament we're in. I'm sure Abby is just as confused as I am, scrambling our minds trying to figure out why the Alpha and Luna of The Moonshine pack is here. Right here in front of us.

If I had to guess, I would say this was our mothers doing. "I'm sorry Alpha but we didn't expect to see you here. What are you doing here?" Abby asks before I could.

"Well, your mother wanted to make sure you both made it to the pack safely and without any trouble. I promised her in making sure that happens." Alpha says.

Bullshit!, I called mentally while laughing. My parents don't give two shits about my well-being. They could care less about if I had landed safely or if I ever make it to the pack lands. It was obvious that this gesture was requested with the best intentions for Abby.

"Thank you, Alpha. I'm sorry for the trouble but we could've made it there with no problem at all." I say wanting to sound thankful.

"Look who's talking." Abby comments almost too quickly. I stare at my sister holding a growl, trying not to bark back. Knowing that I'm not myself when I'm hangry, I ignore her and give Alpha my full attention.
