Worst enemy to first love

Chapter 4

As atlas turns on the car we sat in silence for a while then he turns to me,
"do u really think I'm an asshole ?.
"Idk atlas the way u act around me is awful, it sucks to feel like someone Doesn't like you.

"I don't want u to feel like that he responds I'm just a closed off person you know.

"Well u won't have to deal with me for to much longer I respond, we're only going to 5 places then we don't have to speak to each other ever again.

***30 minutes later ****

We pulled up to an abandoned building.
"atlas what is this I ask him, where are we?

"It's a surprise " he tells me and smiles, come on let's go bring don't forget to bring the camera.
"no WAY " I say as we enter the building.
It was a large building with hundreds of old paintings.
"Atlas how in the world did u find a place like this i ask him,
"idk I just stumbled across it" he replies.

A lot of the paintings were fading as the building was old and abandoned but it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

I get out the camera from my tote bag and start recording, as I turned on the camera, I asked atlas
" why is this a place of significance to you ".

He turns around " I found this place last summer when I was  running away from home.
my parents had gotten into a big fight, they always fight but this was different.
I ..uh got into the car and just started driving and driving anywhere was better than being at home, I then got out of the car and decided to walk around and it lead me to this building, the paintings and art they bring some sort of peace and comfort to me.
I don't know how to explain it but yeah, this is why this place is significant to me "

I turn the camera off and just look at him, he seems hurt and sad.
Atlas "I'm so sorry u have to deal with that "

Don't Mia he tells me " don't start please I can't deal with this right now ok I just can't.

"Yeah of course we don't have to talk about it"

"Did u get everything u need?

"Yeah, I tell him , we can go if u want.

He looks at me he seems hesitant to answer, I don't know why but I really thought he was gonna say "no I want to stay with you"but instead he sighs and says " yeah it's getting late I need to drop u home "

During the entire car ride home we just sat in silence, none of us said a word.
We we finally we're In front of my house
"thanks " I tell him and I start to walk away.
"Wait Mia" he says,
Yeah ? 
" thank u for everything today seriously"
"I'm here anytime atlas I'll see you tomorrow.
I smile and finally head inside to get ready for bed.
I felt excited  for tomorrow, atlas had finally opened up to me I was happy.
