M for mountain climbing

Jay and Erin went to go mountain climbing. There were special mountains for climbing. They had an vacation from work for three days, because the last few week the had work extra and were collecting vacation days. They decided to use two of those days. So they planned to go mountain climbing. Erin wanted to do try it.

"It is a long drive so can I also drive?" Jay asked. "Sure, but only because you came with me to go mountain climbing." Erin said. She was happy that he came with her and as reward Jay could drive. "Yess!" Jay yelled. He was happy that he could finally drive for once.

Jay had drove two from the six hours. He was tired when he came on the destination from the long drive. Jay and Erin went into the hotel they had booked. They had one room with one bed. Both of them had the gun with them. They never knew when it came in handy and they coulnd't leave their gun alone at home.

Jay opened the door. "This is nice. They even put rose petals on the bed in the shape of an heart." Jay said and put their luggage on the ground on the side of the bed. "Yes, I booked an romance room." Erin said and put both of their guns and badges in the safe that stood in the wardrobe.

It was already late so they decided to change into other clothes and go downstairs to eat dinner. "This food is amazing." Jay said. They sat in the eating room of the hotel. "Yeah, a lot better than your cooking skills." Erin joked. "Wow, mine cooking skills are good, but I have to admit this is better." Jay said acting like he was a lot offended by that statement.

They had finished their dinner and went upstairs to change into their sleeping clothes to go to bed. They needed tomorrow early up, because they had booked the mountain climbing. They needed someone to help them, because this was their first time. Tomorrow they wanted to something else also, because the day after that they already needed to go back to work.

It was around 7 AM, when they woke up. "Hey Jay, wake up." Erin said and stroke Jay's hair. "Yeas, I am up. When do we need to leave?" Jay asked with his morning voice. "I about thirty minutes." Erin answered. "Okay" Jay said and walked to the bathroom to take an shower.

They both finished getting ready and went to the mountain. ""Hey, do you coming here for climbing?" A man asked. "Yes" Erin answered. "Good, I am Boris. I am helping you today with the climbing. So let's get started." Boris said. "Okay." Jay said and they walked to gear up.

"So girls go first." Boris said. Erin went to climb onto the rock. She came very high and Jay cheered for her. Than came the most scary part of climbing, she had to come down. It went smoothly. "Now Halstead, let's see what you got." Erin said when se was fully on the ground. "O, I am going to be higher than you." Jay said. Now it was Jay's turn, but nobody had realised the rope was on the breaking point.

Jay climbed a little bit higher than Erin. "Haha, I am higher!" Jay yelled. "Yeah, come now down." Erin said. She was worried when she saw Jay there so high. Just as Jay was about to go down, you could hear a rope ripping apart. Luckily, Jay had good reflex and could hold onto the thing that stick out of the mountain.

Erin was now panicking, if Jay would fall from there and didn't land good he could be dead. The instructor was also panicking, which was not a good sign. The instructor grabbed another rope and throw it towards Jay.

Jay was still hanging with two hands, but suddenly one of his hands gave up. It hurted. Jay needed to get the rope, so he tried his best to ignore the pain from his wrist. After a couple of times he finally could get the rope he clicked it on the thing and onto his own thing that was around his waist.

The instructor let him down slowly, when Jay was finally down Erin hugged him with happiness. "Did you get hurt?" Erin asked. "Yeah, my wrist." Jay said looking at a almost bleu wrist. When he let go with one hand it came against a rock. "Okay, let's check it out at the hospital. Oh and you." Erin said and turned to the instructor. "Change your ropes" "I am so sorry for what happened. To make it up you don't need to pay." Boris said truly feeling guilty. "Thanks" Erin said shortly. She was still mad that this could let to a death.

Jay and Erin went to the hospital. It was luckily just a sprained wrist. "We can walk into the mountains." Jay suggested. He wanted to do something, otherwise this vacation was for nothing. "Okay, but if your wrist hurt too much, you tell me and we can go back to the hotel." Erin said and walked with Jay to the car. "I promise to tell you." Jay said.

They went to walk into the mountains. There was a great view. "Can we rest here on the bench." Jay said. "Is your wrist hurting?" Erin asked with an concern voice. "No, after this walk, I need an rest. I honestly don't know, how you couldn't be tired right now." Jay said and sat on the bench. "I am in good shape. You should workout more." Erin said. "Hey, I have muscles." Jay said and flex with his muscles. Erin laughed at that.

"Oh and I have something to tell you." Jay said. "What?" Erin asked curiously. "I won. I climbed the highest." Jay said proudly. "Yeah, but I came back in one piece I one time, you broke the rope." Erin said with an chuckle. "That doesn't matter, I won and that's the only thing that matters." Jay said. Erin laughed at what Jay said.

They decided it was time to go back to the hotel, because tomorrow they had a long drive back home. They had another great dinner and after that went to bed.

The next day they went home. Jay's wrist was better, but it still hurts. After a couple of days, Jay could go back to work with Erin. They had to explain what had happened to the team.

"What happened to you wrist?" Kevin asked Jay. "I went with Erin climbing and the rope broke when I was at the highest point. I had to grab that thing that stick out of the mountain. With that I sprained my wrist." Jay explained to the team.

"That only could happen to you." Adam said while laughing. Jay was less happy about the situation. "Haha, very funny." Jay said. The rest of the guys were also laughing. Erin and Burgess were not laughing, they saw the serious things that could have happened if it wasn't for Jay's fast reflex. But luckily at the end, everything ended good.
