Pau is finally done with studying and has received his Masteral Degree in Business Administration.

The whole family is overjoyed by his success. As we had a family dinner in honor of Pau's achievement, he couldn't help but shed some tears while reflecting on where he started, the hardships he has gone through, all his hardworks, and the people who stayed by his side through his journey.

Not that his journey is over but it is a big achievement and we are really proud of him.

Except Pau and Zhu gege has handed such a huge problem for me and Qing at the announcement they released while we were in that dinner.

Wang Zhu: Now that Pau is done with studying, we will start thinking about expanding our family.

Uncle: Oh, are you both ready to consider having kids?

Pau: Yes, Baban.

Auntie: (overjoyed) Oh my, oh my. All my dreams are coming true. Oh my sons.

Uncle and Auntie hugged Zhu gege and Pau in jubilation. Which in fairness, was warranted because it was indeed a joyous plan.

Pau: To start expanding our family, Zhu and I are thinking of adopting a cat. Or two cats.

Me: What?

Mama: Not kids...but cats?

Wang Zhu: Kids could come later as we have to do a thorough study and talk to some experts about what we have to do and what to expect once we have kids.

Uncle: Is that the trend nowadays? Young couples doing research about having kids? During our time, we just get married and have them. We leave it all to fate and heavens.

Qing: Times are different now, Uncle. Young people nowadays are fully aware of how complicated it is to raise children.

Baba: Just take it as them taking this seriously. I am never impressed with people having kids without plans on how they will raise them and provide for them.

Auntie: Thats a great point.

Pau: Planning this won't mean we will be perfect parents but having some preparations done won't be that bad, right?

Gege: Absolutely. Take it from us, we are grateful that we talked to experts and social workers before we got JR.

JiJi: True. We still make mistakes along the way but at least we have ideas on how to avoid or deal with certain sensitive situations that might scar our son.

Me: Being parents are no joke indeed.

Mama: Indeed. (to Auntie) We should be thankful that Zhu and Pau are being careful. We should be thankful that they finally reached this point where they are ready to contemplate having kids.

Auntie: Oh I am thankful. I'm so thankful. (sniffing)

Pau: (hugging Auntie) Oh Maman, please don't cry.

Auntie: (emotional) Oh Pau. You are such a treasure to me and to your Baban. Since you arrived in our family, you have given us more things to be proud of and thankful for. I'm so happy right now.

Wang Zhu: (chuckling) Then you will be ecstatic to know that Pau and I are thinking of moving in with you and Baba in the mansion.

The silence that descended on the dinner table was a testament of how none of us could have predicted that announcement.

Baba: (first one to recover) Are you both allowed to give so many good news to your parents? What if my cousin's heart couldn't take it?

Auntie: (to Uncle) Calm down. You cannot ruin this by having a heart attack.
