My condition was getting even worse that I was solely relying on my sleeping pills just so I could sleep. I felt empty and hollow... Every day gets even worse.

I don't feel like living anymore...

"Breathe," Astrid said. For the past few days, siya ang nakasama ko dahil kailangan ding bumalik nila Keith at Andrei sa New York. They still wanted to stay pero alam ko rin naman kung ga'no sila ka-busy... After everything's that happened, I know we're all still doctors.

I was saving the lives of other children but I couldn't even save Mary's.

"Do you really want to go?"

I sighed, "I need to see this through, Astrid."

She sighed.

Pilit akong ngumiti kay Astrid bago kami lumabas ng kotse—guards were quick to guide us away from the media dahil kahit alam kong Lola already did her part to divert the whole issue, it was still sensationalized and was even dubbed as the trial of the century as people remember what our family has been through. Isla and I being a Villarama didn't help because they got wind of what was happening... calling us names... calling our family cursed because of what our mother did as if this was the payback for every evil thing she did when she was still alive.

I mean... how can this not get the media's attention? Our father died after my mom murdered him and then killed herself afterward, and now it was our turn...

No wonder people were so quick to create articles as if we're the most horrible family to exist.

Until now... No redemption.

Napayuko lang ako nang magsimula ang trial. Pinapakinggan ko lang lahat ng sinasabi nila... Hanggang sa tinawag na 'yung unang witness.

"May we call Dr. Miriam Sy to stand in the witness stand."

Napakunot ang noo ko. A doctor? Why were they calling a doctor in the witness stand?

"Raise your right hand. Do you swear or affirm, to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? State your personal circumstances."

The doctor glanced at Isla for a while before she looked straight, "I do. I am Miriam Sy, single, a psychiatrist."

The prosecutor walked towards the court, "We offer the testimony of Dr. Miriam Sy to prove that the accused has the capability to inflict murder, with willful premeditation, on the victim."

I looked at the Judge, "Proceed."

The Prosecutor seemed... unfazed and confident, "With regard to the Criminal Case No. 289x. Did you execute an affidavit?"

The doctor nodded, "Yes."

There were a lot of questions that my head was getting dizzy already kaya napapikit ako saglit.

"Am I correct to say that you were Isla's Psychiatrist two years ago." My lips parted.

"She consulted me two years ago about her depression and... and with her anger management issues," she muttered. My fingers were fidgeting and I was shaking so bad habang nakatingin lang kay Isla... What was happening? What happened years ago? Bakit hindi niya sinabi sa'kin 'to?
