22 - Diwali party (2)

The party is in full swing and everyone is having fun. Even NH3 were enjoying themselves. I saw Navya whose whole attention was on Harshad, I still can't wrap the fact around my head that she likes this douchebag, and some part of me even doesn't like Navya for keeping her eyes on Soha's boyfriend isn't that wrong?

"Do you have any Idea what Soha will do, once she gets to know this..." She jumped out of her skin seeing me standing there. "God Nandini you scared me. What are you talking about? Why will be Soha mad at me?" Really now she still wants to pretend like it's nothing. I raised my eyebrow at her and she gulped turning her face away from me.

"He isn't worth it Navya, I hope you see it before it's too late. Enjoy the party.." I left from there. I hope she listens to me and came out of this mess, we might not be friends but I care for her enough to warn her. "Come on Nonu, let's lit the firecrackers." Cabir dragged me outside both of us smiling ear to ear.

This is my favorite part of the whole festival. I lighted the rocket quickly and rushed back stumbling into Manik's chest laughing. He shook his head at my childishness but kept me in his hold nevertheless. When the rocket flew high I jump up and down clapping my hands. "See Mani it went so high..."

I looked at him who had a ghost of a smile on his face, "What did you just call me?" I recalled my previous words and oh boy did I just give him a nickname that isn't a monster. I scoffed, "What? I don't know what you are talking about..." I turned around biting my lips, Damn you Nandini.

We stood there lighting too many crackers. there were sky lanterns too but Cabir said we will light them in the last when the party will be wrapped up. "There are so good singers around and this party is still boring, aren't you kids gonna show us some of your magical talent..." Dhruv's Dad mused and we all shared a look grinning. Time for some music.

The music started going off with Manik's guitar and Cabir's Drums while we all hunched up together swaying on the beat. Manik's voice blared off enchanting everyone.
