"Wohoooo, the hot birthday girl is finally here..." Mukti wolf whistled making me grin. When Dad said there is going to be a surprise he wasn't wrong. Since I am the youngest one among the clan and I turned 18 we all were allowed to enter the club so Dad has arranged a private party for me and has invited almost everyone from school.
I hugged my sisters who were looking just as pretty as me. "Happy birthday Bestie..." Navya's smiling face came to my vision and I hugged her instantly. Everyone is here including Aryaman who is eying me strangely. I shuffled from one foot to another. I hope Manik is nowhere in sight.
"Happy Birthday Nandini..."
"Thanks..."
"Here, your birthday present..."
"You didn't have to bring this, but thanks I guess..."
"Your welcome and by the way you look lovely tonight..."
"Thanks Aryaman, you look good too..."
I gave him a half smile, please someone please pull me out of this awkward conversation please. And soon my prayers were heard when Aliya pulled me out of there and dragged me to the center announcing it's time to cut the cake. "Where the hell is Manik?" I asked Cabir, I haven't seen him since the moment I arrived here. "He must be here somewhere, I saw him before you came..." He shrugged his shoulders.
I so want to see him right now, All these efforts I took in dressing myself up is totally for him and the person in question is still nowhere to be found. I huffed in anger, where the hell is he. "Stop pouting Kitten or I might kiss you right in front of everyone..." The hair on my nape stood up feeling him so close to my body. I turned my head a little to see him standing just behind looking oh so handsome. I pouted again making him kiss my nose, my eyes widened and I took a quick look at my surroundings but thankfully none of them were attentive here.
"Let's cut the cake guys..." Manik announced making everyone's attention back on me and soon a very pretty cake was placed on the center table. It looked delicious and I couldn't wait to eat it. "Come on Make a wish..." Aliya clapped her hand excitedly and I laughed at her enthusiasm. I closed my eyes and wished for Manik to be always there for me. With a smile on my face, I blew the candles.
"Will you cut it already, I can't hold back anymore..." Cabir Mused and we all roll our eyes at his hungry state. He is such a kid. I can't believe I am 18 time flies so fast, I would be starting my senior year in 2 months. Last year of school, last year of adolescence and then I will enter in the adult world.
"What are you thinking?" Manik wrapped his arms around me and I leaned into his chest. We were a little behind the pillar and nobody could see us from here. "Do you have any idea how hot you are looking tonight?" He started placing feather like kisses on my neck making standing here difficult for me. "What's the use when you are not ready to ravish me yet..." I said boldly making him chuckle.
