59 - I can't loose you Nandini

"Then what Manik, we both will go home empty hand and see Mom getting sacrificed? Come on Manik, I know you are scared, but trust me baby, I am a witch and I can surely pull this off..." I kept my head on his chest pleading desperately... I have to get that trunk,I am not leaving without it...

"No, no... I can't, I can't loose you Nandini..."

"You won't..."

"Damnit why the hell do you have to be so stubborn..."

"Manik, we came all this way not to leave empty handed... How long will this rivalry between Vampires and Ware wolves will go on? There will always be a sword hanging on our head and now when they know clearly for whom they are looking for, do you want another war to break out and we loose our loved ones?"

"No, I don't want that..."

"Then let me do this, I promise Manik, promise to return back with that trunk safe and sound, just trust me once baby..." I cupped his face pleading, he looked like a lost kid who was afraid to be left alone... But this is not happening baby not this time...

"You will come back right?"

"Nandini Promise..."

He was reluctant to let me go but I have to do this... I looked at that tree once more and took a deep breath... I just have to cut a branch and then throw myself back here safe... Yeah it's not that difficult, I am a witch I can do this... Manik gave me a Saw and I nodded at him assuring him that I am fine. I moved towards the tree and as expected nothing happened... Manik stayed far behind as he is not even suppose to be even at 15m radius... I kept on walking and finally was touching the tree, I am here for... Honestly this was the creepiest tree, I have ever encountered... It was too big, the branches were touching the ground...

It seems like something where all the ghost take shelter like we see in the movies... I place a hand on one of the trunk and a shiver ran down my body.. Okay so this is it, I just have to cut the trunk and leave.. Yeah you can do this Nandini, you can do this... Taking a deep breath, I picked up the saw and attacked a bigger trunk... Because we have only one chance, I wanted to take the bigger wood, so we have at least two daggers made out of it... When the saw hit the trunk there was thunderstorm making me shiver with fear, it was daytime, but suddenly everything turned dark... I kept on hitting without stopping until I got what I wanted and soon enough, I saw the trunk almost on the verge of breaking... I closed my eyes, took a hold of one end and strike again one last time...

The second that trunk came in my hand a fire break out... "Nandini...." I could hear Manik screaming like crazy... Fire was spreading fast, I clutched the trunk to my chest tighter...

I chanted and whoosh in seconds my body hit the ground making me groan in pain... "Nandini, oh my God Nandini you okay?" I opened my eyes to see a very frantic Manik hovering over me. I looked down and I still had that trunk in my hand, my eyes went behind him and I saw that tree burning away... "We did it... Manik we did it..." I cried whilst smiling looking up at him and he gathered my exhausted body in his arms... "Yes baby we did it, we did it..." He kept on showering me with kisses while we both cried silently in each other's arms...
