" who is seonghwa?"

The girl's ears perked up at the question.  She was in the middle of debate with herself either to tell Felix about her parents' conversation or not. It feels so illegal to hide stuff from him. Luckily the male's question diverted her thoughts.

"Why do you ask?" She looked at the boy infront of him who kinda had a disturbed expression on his face. 

"Minho have been talking about this dude a lot." Felix huffed.

"What did he say." Iseul asked suddenly grinning , absolutely knowing the answer already.

"That bro is so amazing. His voice is so angelic, I thought that he is some underground singer for the first time. His wardrobe style is excellently brilliant. I wish I could exchange you with him Felix! MOM!! can we please adopt him. He would even share his stuff with me unlike YOU Felix. Why am I not given a brother like him god? He even cleans his mess."  Felix mimicked his brother's voice while on the other side the girl failed to hide her amusement and let a small laugh out her mouth.

"At this point! He is just targeting you." She commented.

"Like I don't know that" the boy scoffed at her comment.

The girl smiled at her friend's childish behaviour and continued to speak "Seonghwa is dad's to be assistant."

"To be assistant?! Now what does that mean." The boy asked in confusion.

"He's currently in his final year of training. And as soon as he passes out, he would be officially hired as dad's assistant officer. Are you even attending training sessions? Dad told me that he gave motivational lectures to his juniors today. I was absent but where were you?"

"That must be some other department. I haven't seen him yet." The boy explained.

Felix went into a deap thought. Both enrolled in this "National training centre for investigation" college right after passing high school.  Both were walking on the footsteps of Mr Baek Yoon. Iseul would indeed admire her father but for Felix, Mr Baek was nothing less than a roll model. He lost his father at a very young age. Looking upto him, he always wanted to be someone like Mr baek and having his best friend as well as crush walking on the same path gives him sheer determination.

"Isn't this so cool?" This time the boy was brought out of his chain of thoughts.

"What's cool?" Felix questioned at Iseul's question.

"Seonghwa" she said "He achieved what we are dreaming of right now. He spent these 4 years of hard training and is successfully going to become an assistant investigator right after passing out. It's my first year of training and I am already feeling hopeless and tired. What if I end up disappointing dad?" Her voice was devoid of energy.

"You are doing so great Iseul. Why would you think so negative. Your trainers are so fond of you. Infact! you gives me courage to keep going. Don't let these thoughts of giving up bother you."

His words were full of emotions and hope. He brought her some ease. But training isn't what she is afraid of. In future would she be able to handle the situations similar to her father's?

"Where do you see us in future Iseul?"
Felix asked not letting the silence take over their conversation again. Tho this is the question he asks himself since the first time he looked at her differently instead of just friend.

The girl have always been aware of her surroundings and people beside her. Felix remember it since their childhood. The girl would always sense the intentions of people. Who's a friend and who's a snake. She would always let him aware him of his fake friends and her assumptions  always happened to be right. But she still failed to sense the feelings her best friend holds for her.

"Us?" The girl crashed her brows in confusion at the question.

"Us. We both. What would we be like when we grow up." he repeated.

"I don't know. Maybe I would become a senior officer! Then I'll hire you as my assistant.It's not like you're gonna be an assistant officer right after passing out like seonghwa. Your not as capable as him. Or me." She teased the boy who in return scoffed at her.

"So thought full of you my lady!"

"Or maybe we would grow old with tons of awards for catching criminals." She grinned "Or maybe one of us dies way before that"

"BAEK ISEUL!! THIS IS NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT!" the boy panicked.

"Felix, Oh my god! I was just joking" she laughed at his reaction

"Get lost! I'm going home" he threatened.

"Ok I'm sorry!! We will grow old .Fine?!" The girl apologized

'We will grow old together' boy finished her sentence in his mind.
